so i guess that takes care of issue of having to cary 60+ of same armour to repair or same type if had jury rigging and i guess also removes the need of the perk of jury rigging

1 gun gameplay like if you used the operation anchorage glitch in fallout 3 to get weapons and armour that could never break

That one glitch actually saved me from destroying my 360 before I moved over to PC!

As for repairs, it looks like this will still apply to armor, but possibly not weapons.

In that footage, we don't see anything on weapons or armor that implies they have durability. We do see armor pieces getting blown off (or at least, we see a single chest-piece getting blown off of a Raider Psycho), and Power Armor does have durability, and a repair option at the workstation.

That's what I meant.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KAXr5z6wfIalso -- xbox version

You'll see in hud display the suits damage on left side the "Green suit of armour" damage indicator. and health of your self below it

And as you stated the repair bench... not hard to put together.

I loved that glitch, solid black indestructable assualt rifle and sniper rifle. The memories of sniping in the Wasteland in my oasis hood come to mind.

at most that shows that power armour has fuel and the mini gun will have a cool down not that it will need 50 copies of power armour or miniguns or parts to repair it

if you look at my screenshot where is there an indicator for Armour* durability like previous installments because I don't see it

Alpha footage? Five months before the game comes out?

To me, showing footage, about a game they're still making clearly not "finished game footage"..

or they'd release game sooner. clearly doing touch ups... so it's either beta or alpha

It is odd though that 5 months from release 4 years into development that a feature they intend on having is seemingly absent.

Would have thought by now it would have been implemented for testing and to balance.

Just seems odd to not be present at this stage and from those screens shown you would have thought it would be present.

Though the feature itself could be present in the game just not added to the UI yet

CORRECT!!!!!! not all creators. of a game... are going to show everybit of the game... some companies love spoilers!!!! one of points I'm trying to make although you've said it in a better way than I could!

In my book only ones that can confirm anything is the devs of a game, so I rather called it highly probable.

I dunno, the "cycle damage" button in the corner tells me there might be some kind of damage system.

This is why I suggested that the damage factor would most likely be for armor and not weapons. In practice, it would actually make a lot of sense. In fact many games make use of depletable health and armor without having destructible weapons.

EDIT: see also above post (I meant the first image!)

Could be, but I doubt it. We will be able to horde all kinds of repair and building material. I don't see why repairing other armor types will be any different.
