Jack-in-Irons A very tall man (8 feet or so). He has iron chains all over is body and he drags them. Around is belt are the severed heads of lone travelers. His weapon is a very big club with alot of metal spikes. He will attack you if you are by yourself (if you have a animal or robot with you he will still attack).

No idea if this would work, but...
Basically, in the mojave wasteland, a mysterious stranger approaches. He wheres a broad-brimmed, cowboy-ish hat and a duster coat with a few armor plates on it. His face is obscured behind goggles and a bandana type thing. At this point the game looks into the save files of your xbox/pc/ps3 and accesses your Fallout 3 data (if you have any. this encounter won't happen if you don't). Based on the karma of your current new vegas character and your most played fallout 3 character, the stranger will either congratulate or express disdain for the player. If he likes you, he will give a weapon. The weapon can be one of several things, depending on how you played fallout 3.

If your lone wanderer used small guns, you get a gun called the battered revolver (blackhawk).

If he used Energy weapons, you get a plasma rifle called android's blaster (A3-21's plasma rifle).

Big guns nets you a minigun called ranger minigun (eugene).

Melee gets you a sword called bloodstained sword (vampire's edge).

Unarmed gets a power fist based on fisto or something.

The stranger, (who is unkillable; your gun jams if you try to shoot him, or your machete sticks in its sheath) then walks away. The back of his jacket has a faded blue patch with the numbers 101 on it.

Cool way to bring FO3 subtly into NV, and i would like to see my new character interact with my old one.

A stranger in a gas mask approaches you and reads the save game data of your console or Steam account and comments on it.

"I see you like playing Castlevania," pretty much sums it up, if you get the reference.

I'd like to see some funnier ones in New Vegas than in Fo3 cus they kind of failed at funny and succeded at bleak and oppressing! RD:R nailed it with the strangers now if only we could make old people and cannibals funny and in New Vegas...*looks at Andale and sobs* FAIL

:ooo: Dude, epic. That would be sick and there totally should be some way to incorporate Fo3 into the Mojave Wastes! I would have a man in the wastes (voiced by Liam Neeson) outisde a compound of slavers. He says, I need your help they have captured my daughter and they are holding her inside there. "I can't offer you money for your aid, but what i do have is a very special set of skills." (Taken FTW!) If you help he becomes a companion!

The wizard!
as you walk threw the desert you find a tower with w odden door, when you reach the top you are attacked by a man named the wizard, upon killing him you pick up the wizard costume and a wrist strapped mini tesla gun.
wearing them in conjunction makes you appear to fire lightning bolts from your hand.

Another mini quest from me...

In a certain location there would be a large crashed aircraft, nearby there's a massive cage which is busted open. There's a lot of blood splattered around the ship and the cage, a few weapons litter the ground. Inside the wreckage of the aircraft you will find a computer next to a couple of holotapes, the holotapes are voice recordings; logs of the journey...

Holotape 1: "We've finally caught the bloody freak, we lost Cooper and Hanson in the process though...the way that thing kills I....I've never seen anthing like it...I still hear their screams when I try to sleep. The rest of the men are loading the cage on now, the journey back to the lab is short but we'll have to go slow...we don't want any complications with this thing on board, we'll set off within the hour."

Holotape 2: "The journey's going well so far, other than the the noise coming from the cargo hold, it's been getting louder in the past hour...stinks too. We're avoiding going down there, it can only make it worse if it sees us walking around. The doc better pay us pretty damn well for this thing, it's certainly cost us.

The next voice recording will be on the computer...*you hear a squealing in the background as he talks* "We're nearing the lab, thank god...the noise has become deafening. I sent Morris down to check on it, he's taking his time though. *squealing stops*...urgh, at last!...he's either really good at his job or that thing's broken out and torn him to shreds...*he groans*...I better go and check he's ok, I'll finish this when we get back to the lab."

You never meet the creature though, just something to keep you on your toes. :hehe: Maybe you find some torn apart bodies as random encounters after you've read the logs.

Or "What's this dog following me that takes like 14 hits from a mini nuke WTH?"

I'd still like to see a mad wizard in the waste, blowing up barrels of goo, and knows all about your quest. Some men call him... http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj125/Gizmojunk/todd.jpg?

You come across a man surrounded by robots. He is in the middle of the path to a place, any place and you can't get around him. He says his wife sabotaged them in revenge for him being...indiscrete...if he moves they blow. You have a couple of options if you want to continue where ever you were going.

1)Leave the man. (No Karma change)

2)You can sabotage them even further if your repair skill is high enough and get them to attack him. (Bad Karma)

3)Try and disarm the robots. Each robot has a recording from his wife, im sure you can imagine the kind of things it says, and a option to disarm. (Good Karma if you disarm them)

Oh and you can try and disarm them regardless of your repair level, but if it is too low you have to answer a riddle or math equation or something. And there are 4 robots, he can only survive 2 of them blowing up...So be careful...or not...slight bad karma if he dies but not as bad as if you blow him up.

Oh one more option, put the poor bastard out of his misery and blow his brains out, bad karma and the robots go haywire and attack you.

(And yes i stole this from a star wars game but i liked it so i added it here.)

I'd like to see a man wandering the desert wastes. His name is Gordon, he wears power armor and glasses. No matter how hard you try to get him to say something, he remains silent.

(Half Life reference lol.)

Perhaps, at night, you hear a voice from behind you, saying something indeterminable, steadily getting louder. When you turn around, it stops, and there is a skeleton there that wasn't there before. :ooo:

Maybe a return of the Mad Preacher from Fallout 3, wandering the desert, mumbling and ranting about the "Great Worm" while hugging a Mini Nuke. He seems to completely ignore your existence as he wanders into the distance.

Can you imagine only having one arm? Can you imagine having only one arm in the wasteland? Can you imagine only having one arm in the wasteland and being dirty and starving and being that inept at banditry?

It would be a pitiful thing to behold. Shooting him or her down would be too easy as to offer only the basest and most minimal of rewards (though some people would delight in the act), staying your hand would be the mark of good karma'd man.

Besides, I don't think I mentioned anything about any shells, just being able to end the confrontation with violence. Think about it.

Or you can put him out of his misery. Least your killing could be fast and simple instead of him trying to rob someone who isnt as forgiving and tortures him.

The mysterious ghoul-a ghoul runs up to you he looks beaten and bruised but he is oddly calm. he informs you that his friends are under attack and to follow him. 3 well armed raiders are attacking a 4 lowly armed ghouls. you can help the ghouls are the raiders.

ending 1-help the ghouls- you help the ghouls fight off the raiders the ghouls thank you and ask how you found them. you tell them that there friend came and guided you here. the ghouls are confused. they said that there were only 4 of them as there only other friend was killed by the raiders. you look at the dead body and its the person that came to warn you about the attack

ending 2- raiders- the raiders thank you for helping and give some of the loot. the ghoul that brought you has dissapeared

if you help the ghouls you get a key to a chest with 200 caps. 3 nuka cola. and a submachine gun

I think a random gunfight between a few people over a poker game would be pretty cool. Either on the strip, in a casino, or in a small settlement. It shouldn't happen every time you enter an area, but once in a while.

Out in the wastes you wander up on a person who was buried in the dirt up to his neck. Rescue them or leave them, after a brief conversation, Karma applies. Not in a regular spot.
