so are you so are you, and quite honestly if you really shouldn't be worried about bugs on pc, because we can fix most of them, and if you are crashing a lot its probably your fault

Are you mentally challenged? It's the customers' fault if the game is crashing or that many quests are broken?

72 forum pages of topics about bugs and crashes is huge, probably more than the complaints with ubisoft and their assassin's creed 2 DRM. I feel scammed and I'm entitled to complain.

How is it his fault? It's a known problem with the game now, I was looking forward to this game and plan on playing it but I can't until they release a patch to fix the damn issues with loading your saves.

I pretty sure people dont expect 0 bugs with each release of a new game, but when a game is released in such a state that a large majority of people are experiencing problems is when something is definitely wrong. I my self, can run some of the most resource hogging games out right now no problem, I launch this game and nothing but frame rate issues a crash here and there (that have me saving every 5-10 mins which really take away from enjoying the game) NPCs stuck in the ground shotting at me. The bugs are endless. Yes i know they are not making un playable but this is not what i paid for.

Summary, i know there will always be bugs i expect them. When the games are as buggy as this and updates are really slow in coming out is when i start to complain :).

Gotta admit it is something, 74 of threads in the PC tech forum alone and the game hasn't even been out a month.

Oh and to the r-tards that keep saying it's a problem with the user - explain why other large games don't have lot's of news sites complaining about the problems; even Kotaku and Gamespot had a mouthful to say about how buggy FNV is, also explain why other AAA games haven't had anywhere near 70+ pages worth of technical problem threads within the first 2 weeks of launch?

The engine is crap and most people know it, it's a badly coded mess and they need to stop using it.

Why is it Obsidians fault? They just tried to make the best of what they HAD TO USE, and IMO they did a damn good job. Gameplay is much better then in FO3, theres no denying that.

Maybe they should have printed a disclaimer on the box that says, "Warning; This game is extremely unstable and will probably take 6 months to patch even though we rushed it's release by at least that much."

I don't mean to douse the fire, but I was having a lot of problems and stopped playing. Then I loaded for the heck of it because I was bored and I played a marathon last night without any freezing or stutter. The game ran spectacular and I did a quick run through to beat the game with the "selfish" ending. Then I started a new game earlier today and I had the same problems all over again.

I had to start a 3rd character now.. because the previous two's saves got somehow screwed up even after the 2 patches. In completely random locations....

Agreed 100%. Obsidian did a great job trying to make Bethesda's fan game feel like a genuine Fallout title, but Bethesda released the game before it was done. Not Obsidian's fault at all - Bethesda knew they worked annoyingly slow when they hired them, and Bethesda knew their engine svcked when they decided to have Obsidian use it. They should have provided better support (I'm not sure if they provided any at all since almost every FO3 bug is present in NV) and released the game when it was complete.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Given time, the majority of the bugs will be resolved by new .exe's and .ESM's.

?The difficult, they'll do right now. The impossible will take a little whiiiiiiiile?

yeah I've actually given up on this game until I can play it again later and finish it (crash at the Dam near the end, unescapable, another user reported the same problem)

This is a first for me. Not once did I encounter a bug in an RPG that prevented me from finishing it (inc Fallout 1/2, PS:T, BG series, elder scrolls, F3, Vampire Bloodlines, heck, even Two Worlds)

I'm not talking about the atmosphere of the game, or the contents, because it's wonderfully done in this regard.

Along with a patch, the right move would be to give away free DLC's to the customers.

OK. I started deleting posts from this to try to clean it up but I keep coming across more. I am closing this as it seems some of you cannot have a constructive discussion without flaming and flamebaiting.
