More unique armors and weapons at higher levels.

Are there going to be armors for people who reached like level 30+ or 40, and so on? To make more enemies more harder when they get better armors and weapons.

Expansions like Shivering Isles could make this possible, only this time to fit your scale. Personally, I don't see it happening.

They say that you'll still be picking Perks on levelup, through level 50. (Didn't they?) So I'm guessing that the level progression speed/range/balance isn't the same as Oblivion (i.e, you may get levels a bit faster, and the gear scaling probably goes to a higher "top" level than 20.)

evry time I see people post these kinds off wishlists about the game and it's feats, I think, say, scream:

MODS

let the devs worry about the game engine and it's possibilities, let them put up a solid game, but don't be like oo in oblivion we didn't have weapons suitable for a level 30 char, please change this in skyrim,

I know a place where you can download some stuff that makes it possible to have all the edits you could ever dream of.
it's called tesnexus.

did not find it here?

try the tes construction set. there is no way you can't get what you want there.

so please people stop ranting about I want this into the game or I want that, go do it yrselves in the construction set.

Mods aren't available for consoles. Your argument is invalid.

you got me on that one, Im a PC player, sorry

however
thinking PC gaming, the way I see the official plug-ins they are quite the same as the mods. can't they make a converter that allows us to install mods on your Xbox 360? maybe even PS3? It should work, the officials are not much different from the mods, If they would build the tescset so that it would exactly the same and build a converter afterwards it should work.

I really don't know if they can, but if it's possible they should.

Otherwise, as is, I'm a college student who can't afford to constantly buy and upgrade thousand dollar equipment to pump into a gaming computer that will play Skyrim at the same level as a $200 Xbox will. So I don't get mods. Your argument was entirely based on whether or not I could afford a computer for it. Since I can't, you have no argument, simply a taunt that you can get mods to fix what you don't like while I cannot.

Of course, that's not the point of what you're saying. But putting it so blunt makes it seem so.

I'm pretty sure everyone has a pc... it's the play ability that's the problem.

Cool, you have rich parents/a job that pays enough where you can comfortably set aside enough money to afford a top notch gaming computer/are an idiot who bought one even though you can't actually afford it.

I have money for one but not enough to actually buy one and live a comfortable college life, I would never ask my parents for that much money and feel alright accepting it, and I'm a student. Should I not be able to enjoy something as simple as more equipment just because I can't get mods due to those situations in my life?

More content the better, so long as it's up to their usual high standards. Excluding content because they think the mod community can include it is excluding over half their fanbase.

I'm gonna go out on the limb here, and make some people angry...

As to the poor college kid argument: Im in college. Full time. Computer Engineering degree which is VERY demanding work, mind you. I have a part time job. I make 11k a year. I work 25 hours a week. Im married and my wife works. She makes less than 25k a year. We have a 6 month old baby. We have 2 car payments, a mortgage, credit card bills, utility payments.... Groceries.... And I still managed to build a high end gaming PC. That argument is invalid.

As for the original post: The system is supposed to be more along the lines of FO3, a game I didnt play much of, but things will be more balanced, and most likely a more diverse set of equipment will be available to the player.

Maybe they'll be race related..... such as a level 30 imperial will get a suit of blade armour and on level 40 get imperial dragon armour..... just a thought

I suspect that's true, no one said that the progression rate for weapons and armor, reletive to the player level, has to be the same as in Oblivion, I suspect that we're going to continue finding better items well beyond level 20 this time around. This doesn't necessarily mean that we'll see things better than Daedric and glass, but we might see these later in the game than we would have in past games, and there could be more things to get before them, or maybe loot will progress at a slower rate in Oblivion, which I'd actually be fine with, because as much as I like fiding better items, it gets kind of annoying when I find a new item and barely have a chance to use it because I find something even better soon after.

I agree.

By that logic they shouldn't put anything in the game and just make a construction set.

Unreal Tournament 3 allows mods on the PS3 (not sure about 360), obviously they had to be done on PC and transferred (with the stupid requirement that the modder needing both copies of the game). I don't know how well it worked, having never played that game, but it is possible. It would need to be very limited for Skyrim, however, because of the nature of the game, and if they couldn't somehow enforce that it would probably cause serious issues on consoles.

Not to say Bethesda should allow mods on consoles, could cause more harm then good...and more work for them.
