Morroblivirim?

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 9:50 am

Ok, so I know i'm going pretty far ahead here because Skyrim isn't out yet, but hear me out. I was reading another thread about roads leading out of Skyrim, and I thought what if they made a game where it was Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim mixed :o? it would have Skyrim graphics, ect... It would be like the Ultimate Elder Scrolls game. I call it Morroblivirim.

Lol, Any thoughts on this?

ok heres what to expect

Skyrim is Skyrim

go play morrowind, Skyrim isnt Morrowind 2.0 or oblivion 2.0

No lame idea

and a whole host of other pointless posts.

now

Nah I wouldnt think so, Onras heightmaps if they work for Skyrim will = the entire province of Tamriel in a TES game for the first time since arena. Im not so much for replaying the Eras as I am for just having the whole continent with their cities, villages and various quests made by Radiant Story :D something like that Fallout 3 mod that added the other continents to the game.

OR, they could remake the older elder scrolls (e.g. Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind & Oblivion) all with the Creation Engine, High quality graphics, and the amazing gameplay of Skyrim.

So as long as you don't transfer resources in-between games. That's copyright infringement.

BTW, talk of Morroblivion is banned on these forums. And this thread lingers very close to it.

Oblivion could handle two (Cyrodiil and the Elsweyr mod), I don't see why Skyrim's engine couldn't handle it.

No it doesn't. He's not talking about transferring resources at all. The only thing that's close in this thread is the name.

Listen this was just an idea. I'm not sure if any engine ever made could handle that much data and textures. But I'm just saying, those were two great games (Skyrim is a 99.99 percent chance it is going to be a good game). I mean like the first guy said, go play the games separate, but if they were combined that would make a kickass game and a must have for every RPG gamer.

Each province would have to be it's own separate cell to handle everything. How would a separate world be loaded in a wide open area? Unless every major road to Skyrim runs through a cave. ;)

Doing somthing that amounts to a massive nostalgia trip would take alot of time, espically if they were to have to re-build the first 4 games in the new engine. Not to mention the Multitude of Installs you would have to do in PC and the discs to switch between on consoles. I would just like another great game in like 2-3 years. not a Uber collection in like 4-6 years

How is it a nostalgia trip when all the provinces have always been in TES since TES was TES?

Note to everyone: This was just an idea. I'm not a pc gamer, I'm on xbox by the way. I they should remake the elder scrolls (Arena and Daggerfall, not so much morrowind.) I'm not saying that tamriel should be one big open world, (that's nearly impossible) but if you get to another providence, you can load it and play in there. I hope I cleared something up, I'm just super excited for Skyrim (as we all are) and came up with that idea and posted a thread about it. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about my idea and if you had and any thoughts about it. Someone said something about copyright, No Copyright Intended. Also, I did not know "Morroblivion" was banned from the fourms.

Just wanted to see what you guys thought, that is all.

Skyrim 11.11.11

Why would you remake the old games? Why not move on? TES needs to evolve as the years pass not devolve

We already have Oblivion and Morrowind. Wouldn't Arena or Daggerfall be the first ones to consider remaking anyway?

Revisit as they are in the current time peroid? Why not explore the ones we have not been to? Why make us go back when there is so much more to see?

No more of a mod based thing that could never take off without the right stuff plus the names stupid and the idea is over used, This has not alot to do with Skyrim, how about you go to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/forum/26-the-elder-scrolls-series-discussion/ if wanna talk about another games suggestion.

Basically wrong area, go to that link and do it or request a moderator to move this topic.

because we haven't seen all of Morrowind? just an Island? and we haven't Seen Cyrodiil in its true glory? just a Disney land Utopia?

Sorry, I'm quite new to the forums. I did know that, that section was available to me. I screwed up and I kinda just want this whole thing deleted. I do not know how to contact a moderator because like I say, I'm kinda new.
