[RELz] Morrowind 2009 Part One - Misc Objects

Post » Wed May 12, 2010 11:14 am

Good sunday afternoon from sunny Norway :)

This is part 1 of the morrowind 2009 mod, which contains all(almost, missing 3 or 4 meshes) misc objects :)
I decided to make this project somewhat modular, so that you guys and girls didnt have to wait
forever for the release :P

So here is part 1 - misc objects(part 2 will contain all ingredients and containers)

Wow very nice. I'm bookmarking this for when I move to my new desktop instead of this crappy laptop....wait...what laptop isn't ;). Desktops FTW. BTW: Amazing job on the misc. objects. What program did you use man?

Okay, tried it out and their is a few problems. The Redware Bowl clips with all surfaces, it is obviously the wrong size and shape. But then I noticed, the Large Redware Bowl is smaller than just normal Redware Bowl, perhaps the models have been mistakenly swapped?

Another problem is the green glass, is just glows in the dark, very strange, to be honest most glass and metal items look strange, they either glow or shine far too much, is it possible to dirty them or make them more grubby? They do not fit well into the dark setting filled with the impoverished people of Morrowind, the items look far too new, expensive and out of place.

The rest of the items, ceramics and other misc items are spot on, they look quite fantastic, you should be proud. :)

The items that glow too much, try to pick them up and place them back where they were, i think it`s the same bug i encounter in cs
and the redware bowl, well thats just a pivot problem, but i`ll fix it

Thank you for this, Nelosmouth! :-)

A question: should I fully disable Morrowind 2006 if I want to use this mod? Or will the meshes load properly if I make sure the new esp is read after the Morrowind 2006 esp?

Awesome work. :goodjob:

I do agree with Akallabeth though about some of the items looking too new and expensive. Its not so much a problem of them being shiny, so much that they really shouldn't be shiny at all. Mainly the glassware and metallic items. Of course, this is just a matter of taste really. I just like stuff that doesn't stray too far from the original work in the game.

There should be rich/new and expensive items around morrowind, but the problem is that the difference between the rich and poor is huge.
The solution may be to create some more poor looking variations for the people living in farmhouses, shacks etc.

I have fixed the glowing glass problem, i had forgot to export without lights in 3ds max, duh

Awesome, downloading now, models look good on the screenshots, though I agree with the comment on the lighting, but apparently, you managed to fix that already.
Just wondering, how many poly's is e.g. the redware bowl? 'Cause they do look rather very smooth.

I am having a bit of trouble with the Dwemer cylinder: http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t68/Mr_Swiveller/MGEScreenshot27.jpg

I previously used 'Better Items 2' which likewise animates the cylinder. Might this be a conflict of some sort?

Yes, i think we got a conflict there, my mesh isnt supposed to look like that, with collision
box showing and all.

Could you give me the name of the mesh, NelothsMouth? I just now deleted all of the Misc_dwrv meshes added by Better Item from my Data Files folder but the error persists.

I almost missed this because it didn't have [RELZ] in front of it.

I'll be trying it later on today.

Thanks NelothsMouth

You could ask a mod to do it.

Nice job, btw. Looking forward to see your books.
