Morrowind and Expansions Quiz # 67

Post » Tue Aug 25, 2009 8:14 pm

Welcome to the Morrowind Quiz Thread

Rules:
1. Only one question should be asked at a time.

2. The first person to answer correctly will be responsible for providing the next question.

3. If you know that you will not be able to stay to validate a response to your question, you should yield the next question to someone who will be around.

4. Be patient. It can take time to come up with a good question. If you answer a question correctly, you will have 10 minutes to come up with your own question. Your time will start when your answer is validated.

5. Please base you questions on things that are to be found in unmodded Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Try not to include questions that involve lore that cannot be found in game, or rely only on the Construcion Set to answer.

6. PLEASE DO NOT SPAM. If you have a question about the rules or about anything that is not Quiz related, please refrain from posting it in this thread.

7. Finally, if you feel the need to discuss a question, please do so using the PM feature.

Good Luck!

my essence is strongest of all in this plane,
kin to one who is not quite sane.

i am said to be what i am not,
but alas i shall never be caught.

most revere me with highest regard,
many tales of me, sings the bard.

i am as old as the nerevarine,
and many times him i have seen.

It's because instead of morrowind there was meant to be another TES: Adventures game called 'The Eye of Argonia'. At least I think that's the story. :D

Doesn't that break the fifth rule, though? I don't remember seeing any lore mentioning that.

its and easter egg from tribunal, the guy who is writing the flyers yells "im looking for the eye of argonia" so it is mentioned in the unmodded game, therefore it breaks no rules.

To which he responds: "Congratulations. You have produced an original and entertaining excuse. Completely unbelievable, of course, but none the worse for that. Never heard a believable excuse before, anyway. Very well. You may go. I'd like to preserve our secret office... -snip-" Doesn't mention anything about Eye of Argonia as a cancelled sequel.

well my bad, if you feel like my question has nothing to do with MW, then i will go and give my self 20 lashes for creating a bad question, is that better? anyways the question has been answered and i have put another one up, so this discussion is over.

EDIT: by the way you just broke rule number 7 if you feel like getting technical about everything.

I'm going to say Almalexia. She's got the strongest soul (which is more or less equivalent to essence, isn't it?), she's divinely related to Dagoth Ur, she's said to be benevolent but isn't, even if nobody will ever believe otherwise (other than a select few), she's regarded as benevolent, there's certainly bardic tales about her, she's more or less as old as Nerevar (which I'm guessing is what aSaPp!5 meant), and she's certainly had the chance to see the original a fair few times. In the literal meaning, she's probably also had a good chance of seeing a fair few nerevarine candidates.

Only alternative I can think of would be Azura. She's a daedric prince so her essense is bound to be strong. She's kin of Sheogorath. She's regarded as a "good" god but really isn't, though being a got she gets away with all her scheming. She certain is as old (in fact a hell of a lot older) than both Nerevar and the Nerevarine and she's seen quite a lot of nerevarine candidates too. Seeing as Nerevar was a dedicated follower of hers, she's probably also "seen" the original a fair few times.

almalexia is correct
and the second line refers to sotha sil not dagoth ur, since all 3 of the tribunal are related.

Can I take the turn I missed because of my internet failure?

Willow Anther Galore,
You'll find me there,
A front for smuggling perhaps?,
Orc Guards.. Beware,
I'm unique in shape and size,
But take a bit and you'll get a surprise,
I'm not that unique after all,
All you have to do is make an Orc fall.

Pretty rubbish, but I'm tired. :P Might have given it away with the last part.

*digs up list o' riddles*
Ehem, right then. I think this one's correct.

At the end, I am
On a pillar of pain
In a land which hates feet
My fall will never be the same

Traveled bravely with the dragons
There with them, I don't like to be
Dwemer and Dunmer, one without a flag on
Pisces, you could at least have given me!

Who or what am I?

i know this is probably wrong but its worth a shot.

is it tarhiel? the thing with falling and pain had me thinking of him hitting the ground, and traveling with dragons makes me think of flying.
