Kind of a flimsy riddle english-wise but still requires a good bit of thinking

A lot of the right letters but not the right answer.
Men and Mer can survive on Draugrs plane just fine. There is another species which isnt full men oir mer that can survive on the answer's plane indefinitely.

um... Dreugh?
men and mer (without a constant effect amulet) cannot survive indefinitely under water and there are some strong Dreugh in drowned caves, but about the ancient one, I have no idea.

The ancient one is not a dreugh, and think what ancient is a synonym for.

The strongest one refers to the Dreugh Warlord in Koal Cave. They are supposed to be half man and half octopus.

But for the seasoned fighter I can summon much wealth
I appear to be harmless, but I'm dangerous bait

Very good riddle. You are the Potion of Heroism; it lies near the Steam Guardian and the Dragonbone Cuirass, and had Peke Utchoo drank it, the restore health effects may have stopped the poison from killing him, or it'd just be finished and he'd die anyway.
