The elven lands are more exotic. The descriptions of the cities of Valenwood and the Summurset Isle also sound quite fabulous.
The human provinces of Cyrodiil, Skyrim, Hammerfell, etc. pretty-much look like those of various real-world human cultures.
In Cyrodiil, Cheydinhal has a very German-English (Tudor) style, Anvil might be something from Italy or the Adriatic, Leyawiin looks like a decaying Spanish or Portuguese colony, Chorrol is a bit of a French-style town, Skingrad is central European or German, Bruma is Scandinavian. And the Imperial City, of course, has Roman influence, with town houses that are probably more like something you might see in rich C17th century European cities.
Well, thats roughly my impression of them at least.
