I decided to start playing Morrowind again but now when I try it gets stuck at a black screen because the window is popping up in the background for the mods, you know the "Yes, No, Cancel, Press Cancel for yes to all" one? I switch to that window and press cancel for yes to all, but when I go back to Morrowind, it doesn't go full screen, instead it just sits there with a black window, with a smaller black window inside it. I can hear Morrowind running so it must still be running somewhere it just isn't letting me see it in full screen for some reason.

Try getting rid of the error popup. Post your Warnings.txt, the error are probably causes by plugins made with other version of CS.

There is no Warnings.txt in my Morrowind directory. It is something I always have gotten with Mods, before it just popped up in front of the game instead of behind it and I could press yes to all and it would continue with the game.

Was going to record it with Hypercam but Hypercam stays on the desktop when it goes full screen. Now I switch to the warning window and press Cancel, I hear the game start. It then stops and I get a "morrowind.exe has stopped working" message as soon as I click on the window in the task bar. I have tried not clicking back into it and the game runs just fine in the background. If I wait until I hear the menu music I can click on it and it opens just fine. I don't get it. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you recall when the problem started and if you changed something immediately before the problem started? Your post suggests that you had been able to play without problems. If all else fails, is reinstalling from scratch an option? And by that I mean a formal, full unistall. It may be extreme, but uninstalling and then reinstalling is reasonably painless and quick. Also, if you haven't already, see if mlox makes any suggestions about your load order. It's usually pretty useful.

Have you tried opening notepad.exe before loading Morrowind. Sometimes this allows Morrowind to be minimized/alt-tabbed and still work when maximizing it.

Also what operating system do you have?

I have been getting problems of a similar type which i suspect may be caused by windows 7 which i only recently acquired , as it never happened before with XP or ME.
The solution for me is to fix the bugs reported on the loadscreen or not use mods that have such problems.
