I just purchased Morrowind on Steam and installed it, however when I launch it it loads the data for the expansions and the initializing the data bar loads and then the game crashes to the desktop, after some googleing the only thing it returned was something about a sound codec that I'm pretty sure is not installed on my machine. Does anyone know what my be causing this problem?


PC specs:
Vista 64-bit
8 GB of RAM
GeForce 9800gt

Do you manage to have the launcher window? The one with the different options "play", "uninstall" etc. If yes, you might find a technical support link or something and should be able to launch a diagnostic. 5orry I don't remember much what it looks like; right now the game is installing in my computer, so I can't try what I say.
