Morrowind files deleted

I am having some issues with my game. I was just now starting to gather up mods and start getting into the game again, when something strange happened. I was trying to use the Wrye Mash installer tab.
I added UMP *Unofficial Morrowind Patch) into the installer folder, and installed it via Wrye Mash. Then I played with it some and uninstalled it again. Then, I went ahead and tried turning it into a project (whatever
that is for) and then deleted that, and then played around with it a few more minutes.

Next thing I know, my entire data is corrupted. All of the ESM files are deleted. It just got rid of the Morrowind.esm and the master file for both expansions, apparently it was missing some of the files as well. Any advice
on why this happened, and how I can avoid it in the future would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid you're gonna to install Morrowind again and there is no need for you to create a project for UMP, because it's only used for pluginless replacer. :)

Ah ok, that makes sense. I already re-installed. Just curious why it happened. Was kind of strange. Maybe because I did the convert to project.
I don't think I feel like messing with that again.

Thanks again.
