Morrowind for 360?

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:12 am

I just downloaded Morrowind for my Netbook and despite the game's age it still runs like garbage. I was wondering if Morrowind was available for the 360, either as a physical disc or live download. Does anyone know?

It's on the regular Xbox. Pretty sure you can run it on the 360 too.

Yeah, that was my fear. It might run like trash on my netbook, but at least it loads fast. Do I have to download a patch for it to run backwards-compatible?

You can apparently run Morrowind and Morrowind GOTY on 360, alot of people have said it works for them but i dont know if its specific to what country the xbox and disc is from. I only say this because i have an xbox 360 that is fully updated and it still wont accept my Morrowind GOTY, says i should go on xbox live and get an update but i dont have xbox live so i instead downloaded the update from the xbox360 website and updated but it still doesnt work).

So, complaining aside, yes, it should work on 360, it seems to for everyone...except me.... :sadvaultboy:

It would be nice if they would release it as an arcade title so I could just download it to my hard drive and not have to worry about updates, compatibility or insane load times. I can't stand to play an xbox game on the 360, the performance takes a hit where it should be bolstered.

I have Morrowind GOTY for Xbox and to play you have to get an update on Xbox Live to play. It runs pretty good on the 360 load times are fairly long after choosing your save or dying and having to revert back to another save but besides the loading I think it runs good.

I won't repeat the answers above, as they are correct. But Morrowind is one of those games that would be worth finding a decent xbox(original xbox) to dedicate to Morrowind!
