Morrowind Hates you if you play online

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:12 am

Whenever I play Morrowind online, eventually the graphics start bugging out, the menu glitches, then the game crashes with apparently Linksys saying "Render Creation Error". It said Linksys in the blue bar of the error.

I tried playing offline, and I've yet to have this happen. But I like having internet for uesp and other vids while I'm playing.

Is there a fix for this?

I can imagine the vids might disturb the game when running in the background. But I have never had any problems with a browser open behind the game... maybe your pc is just not able to cope with it all?

Okay, so you're saying you browse the internet on the same computer you use Morrowind with, at the same time? I usually have task manager open (Windows user) whilst using browsers, and they can take up in excess of 100,000k memory something (k not meaning thousands). Likewise, I also have task manager open while playing games, and on the occasion that I have to get off them for a second or two, they can take up in excess of 200,000k memory something. Combine the two, add in that the browsers I use tend to be less stable than the games, and presto! Instant crash, waiting to happen. As well, I've noticed that crashes show up on task manager as unchanging memory something count for an extended period of time under the processes category. Task manager may say it is operational, but I find those numbers to be more accurate.

NOTE: I am not a computer guru, may be using totally irrelevant numbers, and these are just my observations.

My memory is fairly decent, but It's really not just browsing with Morrowind running, this issue has happened when I'd just have morrowind open with the internet connected.
