Morrowind Modders of Old

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 6:33 pm

Do any of the morrowind modders of old still stir deep in the depths? The ones who had to put z at the end of [RELz] because the old search engine didn't let you search for 3 letter words? Phijama, Robert, Rogue_Shadow, UQForgotten, and many more?

Just curious if any of the ancient community is still active making mods for Skyrim?

Oh, I remember my first RELz in 2004 or so, and my first REL in august 2002. And I'm still around and still modding.

Tejon is around. Cliffworms was still around until recently and I'm sure he'll be back someday (he always comes back). Astarsis isn't in this forum much but he occasionally posts in Skyrim General. Princess Stomper is here. Qwert ("The man of 1000 mods") hasn't made any Skyrim mods yet that I'm aware of, but he plays and posts here pretty regularly. Zanderat, Aquan and, I believe, Byblos too, are still around.

He never made mods but any old timer will remember Hellbishop. He still pokes his head in from time to time and still writes the same wonderful, eccentric posts like always. I know I'm forgetting some...

You'll actually find a few of the long term Morrowind Modders still in the Morrowind Mods forums.

Hi Emma, I never thanked you for Vilja, she lights my Skyrim nights! /icecream.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':icecream:' />
Pseron, if you are looking for something simple for Skyrim similar to Cisco's mod, I http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28202/, it's been more difficult than expected though /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' />
And yes, HellBishop... the man whose each post is worth a signature! (is this even english? hope it is understandable)
Out before feeling old & nostalgic /twirl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':twirl:' /> /tes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tes:' /> /wave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

It's great to see so many familiar names. That community defined me and the skills I taught myself while striving to be a part of it have paid off more than I could have ever imagined.

/cry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Sob, no one loves me /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Still here - hello /wavey.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wavey:' />

Haven't modded so much in Skryim for two reasons - Steam, and not keen on the Construction Kit - many interfaces are badly designed, camera movement, limited toggles to change what renders, insane memory usage - takes longer to load the CK then it does to load Skyrim, new scripting language, insanely nested and overly complex levelled lists, among many things.

I produced a mod back in the Morrowind days, and then people screamed about how poorly made it was - quite justifiably I might add. My current mod is a lot better - Cerebral Den. I'm currently working on a 2.0 version, but I doubt I'll ever be as prolific as some of the people on here. For the longest time I was just a mod user, and didn't really bother creating stuff. (Aside from that cesspit of a mod back in the days of Morrowind - it was a script mod, and it didn't even work.)

Last sighting of Robert I know of was February 2012 http://grotto.moddersrealm.com/index.php?topic=12663.0

And you have to be signed in at TS Adventures to see this link http://tesadventures.com/forum/index.php?topic=3907.60

Just before that he finished up the Oblivion RobertMaleBodyReplacerV52 on Oblivion Nexus

Not unusual for Robert just to have brief flurries of activity and then dissappear for a couple of years though, 3-4 years was the last appearance before those, so hopeful he may come back with another stab at Skyrim Robert male when he has a better machine.

Edit: I'm amazed to see Telesphoros List o' Mods is still up ( though probably a fair bit out of date now ) http://www.mwmythicmods.com/telesphoros.htm

Yeah, I was there lurking too - may have posted once or twice but had a different username/account back then - when I tried logging back in around the time of Oblivion I realised I didn't remember my password and didn't have access to my old email address - so had to create a new account /frown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Glad I wasn't the only one lurking back then. I did for months, probably, before finally making an account.

Well, if any of you were at my 8th Birthday then you'd know me from the day's of Morrowind. Otherwise, probably not. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> It's cool to see so many people that have been around that long. /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
