Morrowind with wireless controllers, and any music you want.

Custom soundtracks don't work on original Xbox games on the 360.

Custom soundtracks don't work on original Xbox games on the 360.

If you play music first, and THEN pop in the morrowind cd, the music will keep playing.
Then just shut off in-game music, and you have custom soundtracks, with no battle music, on your 360.

You can even play your whole ipod over morrowind.

It only works if you've downloaded the patch though.... I'm pretty sure.

Uh, anyone else getting crappy FPS when playing Morrowind GOTYE on 360? I tried PAL50 first and 'twas choppy and the small savegame-screenshots were a mess, so I switched to PAL60. The small savegame screenshots are now occasionally coherent, but the FPS is still 15-20 at worst... plus the game apparently sometimes bugs when loading a saved game, starting to flash two different loading screens and making the loadtime 2x longer.

I've experienced all of this but it seems to get less severe with time.

I've been playing it on the 360 for a while now, and now only certain cells still make the save picture all broken up. And the real bad choppiness only happens in certain areas, and never the same area twice.

The splash screens haven't gotten any less wacky. Better start giving yourself something to do while the game loads.

It's got a low framerate, but I remembered it being pretty slow on Xbox to begin with. If it's a noticeable downgrade I didn't realize it.

The only times I recall Morrowind getting choppy on Xbox was when walking around Vivec using the third person view(first person was okay, though), in the cave of the incarnate and those giant flooded underground daedric ruins in Tribunal. Otherwise the fps was pretty much stable, around 20-30. 360 Morrowind seems to lag in every town, especially in Balmora, which is slightly annoying at first but you get used to it.

How odd. I never experienced any of this. O.o

the reason my videos have choppy video, was because they were live captures, and the codec wasnt fast enough in capturing frames, and some were dropped.

Yeah, I never notice severe dips like that, just the normal 20fps+ the game always was.

I am SOOOO confused.

I bought Morrowind for XBox, to play on the 360, but now I'm not sure what I've bought.

Apparently both the original and GOTY additions were released as platinum hits/best of platinum hits.

I've scoured the internet, but haven't seen a cover of a Morrowind platinum hits that looks like the original GOTY Xbox release. The version I bought says RPG OF THE YEAR and GAME OF THE YEAR on the cover towards the bottom right, but it doesn't say anything about expansions on the back. I've seen online auctions with this cover that say it IS the GOTY edition, other game FAQ sites with that cover under GOTY edition...

I am SOOOO confused.

If it isn't the GOTY edition, can someone point me to a picture of the platinum hits that IS GOTY?

I believe the Platinum version only contains the original Morrowind. I looked at the Bestsoft Store located in the main ElderScolls.com site. If there was a GOTY Platinum they would have listed it there.

wrong.

I have GotY, and it's platinum hits. Uninvited Ghost is right, there are 4 xbox versions - original, goty, platinum original, platinum goty.

Simple and easy way to see which you have - in-game, look at the world map. If in the top left (northwest) corner, there's a big island (Solstheim), then you have goty. If not, then you have the original, sorry.

Or... you know... look at the cover. It says "Game of the Year" edition in large type right underneath the word Morrowind.

Ahm, anyone can tell me how to fix the blurry save game icons? All my saves(Platinum Hits on XBOX360), the icons appear blurry. Can I fix that somehow?
