Morrowind overhaul never works!

Post » Tue Apr 28, 2015 4:12 am

I follow all of the steps exactly. This is making me pull my fricking hair out and all i really want to do is play some [censored] morrowind overhaul.

I am at the point of considering paying whoever can fix my errors and hopefully finish the installation.

I will extract the morrowind overhaul into the game folder, go through the first few steps and then when I reach the copy files and backup steps, it will say the files are corrupted.

First, please keep it polite. There is no need to proclaim that MGSO never works, since it works well for most users, i.e. the mistake is probably on your side. And second, you really do not need to bump your topic every 10 minutes, it will not help you get response faster and your topic will probably end up locked.

Now to your problem. Have you tried actually redownloading the mod again? As if it says that files are corrupted, most probable cause is corrupted download, i.e. there was some error during downloading of the mod.

I 2nd this, files can end up corrupted more often than you'd think, and all you have to do is redownload the mod.

Also, where is your Morrowind isntalled? I've heard people having problems with administrator settings when the game is installed in default data files directory, so it's often recommended to have the installation of Morrowind elsewhere for the sake of heavy mod usage.

Yes, I always forget about this, that might be the issue, too :)

Just relax.

There are people here who is willing to assist you, but in return you need to provide us with much details as possible. Now, to start with where is Morrowind installed and what OS you're running. Also read http://www.gamesas.com/topic/781497-vistawindows-7-problems/ about common problems in Vista/Windows7.
