I'd love to have a photo of that.

Steam recently added the ability to crate new game libraries in different locations (or different drives) from the main Steam folder. You can use that to install Morrowind to somewhere other than Program Files, if necessary.

Is there anything in this pack that could be preventing me from opening the console? This is pretty much all I've installed to my fresh Morrowind game so far.

Thanks.

There is an option in MGE (MGEgui.exe) called disable console.
The Overhaul doesn't disable it, but maybe for some reasons it is disabled now. Try to open the program and see, it's in the Morrowind folder. The exact location of the option is the "Input" tab.

I did wonder if it was something MGE related, so I went through the options; I wonder if we're looking at different versions of MGE since the pack provides several and I don't have that option (or a separate "input" tab). I went with MGE XE.

Google sent me to a thread on Something Awful which said:

I couldn't work out how to create a macro to open the console with the editor though. Any advice?

Thanks.

Love this mod, but is there a way to make the book/scroll appear smaller (currently takes up a large part of the screen and I'm using 1080p)

Yes Spirithawke. In the macro editor, under function, there is no 'open console' option. When selecting function I could select 'console1' and 'console2' but neither seem to do anything.

I think I'm going to try uninstall this whole mess and start again slowly so I can isolate the issue. Something is definitely wrong. My 'esc' key is stuck as 'take screenshot' despite me repeatedly assigning it to something (ANYTHING!) different. I feel like there're some conflicting settings maybe somewhere; I remember the MGSO 'installer' saving some MGE settings somewhere and I'm wondering if maybe that's it. Once I get the stand-alone version of MGEXE working with vanilla Morrowind then I'll look at installing the mods and replacers. Are the contents of the pack available without the installer?

Edit to add: definitely having an issue with MGE XE, gonna head over to the thread for that. Thanks.

They are, but I think you need the installer to extract them. What you could do is copy/move your data files folder somewhere, do your reinstall, then move it back without overwriting anything. That way you'll have the mods without having to worry about the installer.

You can sort out what most of the mods used are http://www.ornitocopter.net/mo_wiki/index.php?title=Credits. I think I only have a couple esps left that I have yet to figure out what mod they came from so I can write that info into the summary box of the esp.

Alright, so i got MCA 7 running, however i keep getting errors in-game about missing armor meshes, and i see NPC's and ,at one point, a table (but the mesh errors generally reffer to armor) who have the huge yellow crystal marker for missing files.

Any ideas?
Warnings.txt seems to point to MO

Have you used John.Moonsugar's http://download.fliggerty.com/download-13-726 for MGSO?

The meshes prefixed Jer are probably Jeremy's work from his Divine Domina series (created female versions of the armours based on the domina mesh from Beth's LaFemme Armor).

I have not, but would manually installing the meshes from MO into data files work?

Should do. I think you need the table mesh from the patch as, IIRC, the one in MGSO is very broken.

Was one of the meshes you copied over "Jer_D_Iron_Cuirass.NIF" which was copied into "Meshes\a"?

If that's not something in MGSO (I don't have it) then another mod must be referring to those meshes. You can use a grep tool (I use Textcrawler, freeware, there's also Wingrep, nagware, and InfoRapid Search & Replace, freeware; both of which I've used in the past) to search your plugins (file mask "*.es?") for those containing the string "Jer_D_Iron_Cuirass.NIF", that will at least identify the plugin looking for the missing mesh (and hopefully the other armour pieces) so you can extract the missing meshes from that plugin's archive.

Something to note is that all files seem to be Cuirass meshes.

What i dont get is - Obviously I had the files in question for a long time, so how did they get deleted? They could only have been overwritten, but that shouldnt return missing file error

EDIT: nope. doesnt find Jer_D_Iron_Cuirass or any o tthe other cuirass...es in my entire mod folder

I have no idea what's going on. The only thing I can think of is that a mod you have since uninstalled added the Divine Domina cuirasses to some NPCs. Those NPC records are stored in your save game. When you go to the cell with those NPCs in the game tries to load the missing meshes.

Jeremy's Divine Domina series parts http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2360 and http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2361 are on PES. All I can think of is to download those and pull the missing meshes from them.

Well i dont have any divine domina mods, but i have the MCA divine domina addon, because the readme said:

"You do not have to have Divine Domina activated to use this add on"

Ill try disabling this esp.
EDIT: yup, that seemed to be it. Maybe the readme should be updated.

Thanks and sorry for hijacking this.

The key word there would be "activated"...as in not checked in the launcher, but you do have to have it installed so that MCA - Divine Domina Addon.esp can use those resources.

Also...it looks like you have Better Clothes installed, but that it needs this patch perhaps? http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6764#Files as it fixes that other issue I see in your warnings.txt file.

Quick question - why is it that Keazen's Better Clothes Patch is no longer included (since v2.0, apparently)? Is it integrated into Better Clothes or MGSO and thus no longer necessary, or what?

Thanks! Just curious.

Hey all,

What changes, exactly, does "MoRRoWiNi" make to the morrowind.ini? I couldn't find any documentation for this at all.

Thanks.
