[RELz] Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 5:19 pm

Is there a way to force the game to allow us to use all of the hairstyles that originally were available with Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon. I have tried enableracemenu in the console and I am still stuck with a very limited selction of vanilla hairstyles. So far this is the only real complaint I have on an otherwise great overhaul compilation.

Uh? Aren't all the airstyles there? :shocking:
Oh, I got the point, I'll se what I can do.

Well, the vanilla hair was always limited to the Races. There were always only a few for every race and gender.

This mod actually enables the vanilla hairs to be available cross- gender and race. ( the hair with the butterflies was originally only bosmer )

I'm afraid that's all there is. But i get your point. I too like the vanilla hairs better.

Really like the the overhaul and having lots of fun with it. I do have one problem though if using vurt′s ascadian isles textures they flicker so much i almost get a headache and of course those are textures i prefer . Anybody else noticing this?

Do you by chance mean the Grass and Greenery textures?? Or the ground textures?

I stumbled into some issue when opening Morrowind Launcher in administrator mode. (System error: dx3x9_40.dll is miss from your comp..)

So i'm wondering. Is it anything I can do to prevent this Error?

nevermind. Solved it by moving another dx3x9 in the directory. Im really looking forward to experience New Morrowind so..
if you have any problems during the ordinary installation with exe's files, like exeomptimizer n stuff.
Can that be resolved or fixed after the installation or something.

Don't mind the exe-opitmizer much! It never worked for me. And Morrowind is still my fav vacation spot! :celebration:

Just play and enjoy. And once your install is past the MCP, tinkering with the .exe is a big no no!

also, i think i know where the problem lies (in directx) . During the directx9 installation I never got a suggestion where to *put it* .
I may lack a few important Windows updates for Overhaul to run smoothly..

Just saw this new release that you guys might want to check outt: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37072. Have not tried it myself but they certainly look nice from the screenshots. Replaces almost ALL spell effects.

It's useless, because Better Items I and II, and Mesh Improvements cover the same meshes and a lot of others meshes.

Moreover most meshes of Morrowind 2006 are not really at all respectful of morrowind's lore.

could somebody may have a look who made the rugs? i'm really interested in those...

the rugs, people, the rugs!

Where do the rugs come from? first thought it's vp, but now unsure after checking the textures... No rug textures in the credit - so from where/who are they? Looking great!

So this is just, wonderful. I only have couple problems with it, one is just a personal preference, and the others are probably me messing up.

So for one, this is what my Morrowind looked like before.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWD2GOWHmFs

This is what it looks like now that I have installed this mod.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW2EIoA6vtE

I have no idea why my trees (just the leaves?), are doing that. I tried rebuilding the distant land textures over and over with different statistics and have no idea why they look that way. I followed the steps each time just changing the statistics (after the first time didn't pan out), and it looks the same each time. What setting is it exactly that is causing that. Also, I tried using the statistics I used back from when I made video a long time ago, and I still get the same problem. I even tried minimum static as 1, and it doesn't help. Same problem.

The other thing is, I prefer the natural unmodded water (as in my original video), it looked better to me, what do I need to do to get it to look like that again?

Lastly, why does the sky seem to not "wrap" around Nirn as it used to? Now it looks like it "appears" halfway above the horizon. Again I'm sure this just something I did incorrectly...

Thanks.

Anyone have any idea why I have this problems with the leaves? I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :(

The lack of proper updates to the OS , may also factor into this problem!

@Helltech! I've been trying to figure out your problem, but I am drawing blank.
First which 'Tree' option did you choose in the Mod menu prior to installing?
Try another batch of tree from the MOSG menu, and re-run the distant land wizz. Completely!

KINGPIX => in Data Files of "Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics" you can delete the repertory: Extra and Grass. Because they aren't used.

Wrong, the grass folder is used by MGSOO =)
