[RELz] Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 3:04 am

Before I install this I must know how well it runs - have not found any info of this in the other forums. What sort of system specs would you need to get 30fps? Because even with 4 gig ram, and a 1gb video card, I get under 30 fps with less mods.

Well, it depends on the model of the video card.
What's yours?

Thanks for the quick reply and help, downloading now.

EDIT: BTW I would suggest maybe giving some info on system requirements, because people can be reluctant to give up their old save games, in order to reinstall morrowind using your mod, especially when it might not run well enough to play.

Well, it's not so easy to give info on system requirements, because this pack can be used on every system, since MGE can be tweaked for every configuration.

Ah yes, my bad.

Hello again, ran into a small problem during install. When I use the exe optimizer I keep running into this message: 'access to the path 'sse.exe' is denied.' I have tried closing all open programs (excluding antivirus in system tray) and restarting my pc. Any ideas? Thanks.

The depth of field effect looks nice and I imagine reduces the requirements on system quite a bit. I have a radeon HD 4870 and it runs smooth with pretty high settings in MGE.

The water looks strange. It has a brightness at the edges. is a visual bug? Or did something wrong?

Nope, it's not a bug, the water is designed to have that "foam" on the edges

Going through my mods to see what you have included in this that I have and what I have that isn't included, a couple more you may want to look at:
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7385 by Arcimaestro Antares does what it sounds like.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5988 also does what it sounds like, replacing Creeper with a unique model.

I'm not sure if this is covered by the scope of the compilation, but http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=184 makes sorting potions and scrolls in the inventory more easy.
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5706 replaces the compass with a better looking one.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7290 adds more Morrowind, Tirbunal and Bloodmoon themed splash screens

Great mod compliation guys, There was a lot of work going into this and it shows. I hope the rest of the users of this mod enjoy it, and give credit where credit is due.

K1NGPIX,

Do you have any idea of when you and the rest of your team will start the next series of mods in the Morrowind Overhaul Project--the Gameplay Experience mod, and a rough idea of approximately when it'll be finished?

Was just thinking it would be nice if it included some kind of darker nights and/or dungeons option. I remember having a mod that did that last time I played Morrowind. Not sure if that'd be too complicated with the light mods already included though.
An idea anyway.

I had the same problem! One of the mods in the pack came with the .esp file, but not the meshes.

Get it here; and simply drop the mesh folder of this mod into your Data Files folder (just the mesh folder nothing else!)

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6581 by Qebehsenuf is a great mod that I always use (except when mod testing). It makes the beginning so much more unique and immersive, as if you really are a prisoner. I'm not sure if everyone would want this to be part of the compilation mod though. I still think most people prefer the vanilla chargen sequence.

The next patch will fix it, I'm sorry for this little error :)

Nice idea, I will try something for the next patch.

It's an awesome mod, but not a graphic / sound enhancement. It will be included in the second pack :)

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUGGESTIONS! :D

Hello I am also having the same problem as odd hermit. I always get this error during start up of the game.

Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_1.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_4.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_4.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_4.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_4.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_4.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_5.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_1.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_extrav_2_f.Not able to find Foot part in BC_shoes_common_5.

I also found this in mlox

[NOTE] > 'Texture Fix - Bloodmoon 1.1.esm' | "Texture Fix - Bloodmoon" is included in the newer "Bloodmoon Landscape Overhaul": | http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5268 | However, if you do not want the land sculpting done in the Overhaul, the author recommends you stick with "Texture Fix - Bloodmoon 1.1.esm" which just fixes seams.[PATCH] !!'MISSING(Golden Gold Patch v1.0.esp)' for: 'Golden Gold.esp' | "Golden Gold Patch v1.0.esp" adds the Golden Gold texture to two cursed Daedric coin types which were left out of the original. | (Ref: "osiris' Golden Gold Patch v1.0 Readme.txt")

Am I supposed to find these files and fix it or is it normal?

You can ignore all the errors.
The golden gold patch is also merged with the golden gold plugin ;)
No worries! Enjoy :D

Congratulations for this project. This will help a lot of people and it seems all of the team is taking time to create a nearly perfect playable pack. Well, You know, I'm the evil but this doesn't means I dont think this is going in the right direction.

I am already in the process of reinstalling the game but thanks for the fast reply.

I was still a bit skeptical even if I already saw the youtube stuff and screenshot. Some thoughts came to my mind like "i bet its just another one of those changes".

When I installed your overhaul I was stunned on how much it changed the game's feel. It was just pure beauty.

Thank you for this!
