[RELz] Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics

Will adding Morrowind Comes Alive 6.1 after MO-SG create any conflicts? I know MCA adds its own textures in areas and I don't know if it will over write anything added by Morrowind Overhaul.

You can add it without problems :)

Loving the Overhaul after not playing Morrowind for many years.

Question: I can't seem to play in a window even though I've selected Windowed Mode in MGEgui.exe. Any ideas? My native res is 1920x1080, and I'm choosing a game res of 1680x1050.

Go under the Benchmarker Tab in the exeopt and disable Benchmarking patches
It must work now :)

Does your overhaul include the reflect maps Bahamut did for steel armor? If not, you should definitely contact him about it!

@Magnus,

Morrowind has generally a problem with Alt-Tab-ing.
Playing in in Windowed-Mode, can result in the same crashes like the ones caused by alt-tabbing, if you try to access other applications outside of the Morrowind-Game-Windows.

The problem stems mostly from MGE, Myxale. MGE doesn't like to get 'interrupted'.

I actually feel there is some gain in stability from playing in Windowed mode, and certainly I haven't noticed any problems with alt tabbing when in Windowed mode. MGE XE makes this even more convenient as it cuts out the window borders so that "windowed mode" looks just like "full screen" except that you can't vsync.

Hey Kingpix, got a small problem with your mod. When I use a spell that has an effect that wears off over time, like the enchantment on the Belt of Heartfire, I get a missing mesh around my character, instead of the normal effects of the magic hovering around you. What can I do about this? I've followed every installation instruction.

FYI. You can make bafou's meshes pluginless. Just place "a_" at the beginning of the file name (except for shields & towershields) and put them all in "meshes/a". So they become a pure replacer.

There are some armor meshes which conflict with AOF reflect maps. So you need to make an entry for AOFs reflect maps in the remade meshes ( 3 armor sets I think.)

Four sets. Indoril, Daedric, Glass, Adamantium. Five if you count Bahamut's steel reflect maps, but those aren't included in the overhaul at all. You guys will need to ask Bahamut directly about this, he only uploaded it in the community WIP thread once so it's not 'official' but the reflect maps look great none the less and would be a great addition to this pack provided they can be combined with Detailed Armor.

My request was whether or not there was a combined version for AOF's reflect maps and bafou's meshes. Kingpix seems to have them combined or intends to combine them, I have no idea what the current state of them in 1.0 of the Overhaul is, I was hoping the combining work had already been done.

Yeah I combined them, but I forgot to include them in the v1.0 of the Overhaul (as always -.- ) as I said when I come back to my PC I'll send them to you ;)

So I installed this for the first time and everything worked perfectly. I decided to redo some installations and go back step by step. After doing a clean install of Morrowind GOTY and reinstalling MOSO, I cannot launch Morrowind.exe! I get this message :"Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_Snow_01.nif"

I'm quite perplexed . . .

Hello Kingpix and other MGSO gurus - First off, ....let me say, thanks (takes a bow in their direction). This totally remakes Morrowind into a 2011 classic. Guess I can look forward to no research at my lab getting completed this year :)

On a smaller note, I did follow the instructions to the letter and have several glitches:

1 - Upon loading up the game now, I get the old "one or more mods is missing the esm master file upon which it depends ......" error. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but was hoping since MGSO is pre-packaged so to speak, this would not happen.
2 - If I use the Ebony Mail, I get a weird diamond shaped white light around my body and my body disappears below the head.
3 - If I remove all my clothes (dang my junk is big with naked bodies) and remove all inventory items from my body, then my body is semi-transparent. Very weird.
4 - I run an Intel 980X cpu and two Nvidia GTX 580s in SLI and I get only about 35 fps outside. (In the MGE, I have mesh full, and detail set to high, most other options set to default) Is this normal ?

Any insights ?

2,3- Can you do some screenshots?
4- Disable nVidia SLI, the game performs better without it.

Sorry, Kingpix, now that I have MGSO, what is the main method for screenshots and saving them ? (I will get them to you in a little bit if only I know how). I tried the screenshot key on the keyboard and then enabled screen shot enable=1 in the ini, but still no go. Also made sure enable screenshot in MGE is enabled, but still no go.

Sorry, Kingpix, now that I have MGSO, what is the main method for screenshots and saving them ? (I will get them to you in a little bit if only I know how). There's the guide on the install guide, anyway:

Open MGE and go under the Input tab.

if you click Launch macro editor you may see a new window
With this tool you can assign a macro to a key.
Here’s a guide that will help you setting up a simple macro to take a screenshot:

* Choose a key by clicking it
* Be sure to check that the key is unused
* From the Macro type dropbox chose function
* From the dropbox below the game function of the key (where you can read unused) chose take screenshot
* Save and exit

Use the key that you chose to take screenshots :)

Guys, I have a problem with AnOldFriend's "Illuminated Armor" mod included in Overhaul.
The armors should look like http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Concepts/?action=view¤t=IndorilArmor.mp4 but in fact I get only http://savepic.org/1465510.jpg partial effect.. as you can see the cuirass (chest part) doesn't have the reflection maps. Daedric and glass armors from the mod share the same issue. Any thoughts?
