[RELz] Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 1:47 pm

I would really like to use the animations included in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1168229-relz-animation-compilation/page__hl__compilation, and I think it says it's not compatible with LizTail's AnimKit (I think that's included here, right?). Could you, with the necessary permissions, include this as an option for the pack of animations to choose from? Thanks.

Well the animation compilation is included (except the 1st person animations). Anyway the AnimKit isn't needed and you can safely uninstall it. :)

The patch 1.2 is almost ready. I'll test it now.

Also, Kingpix, when you are done with Morrowind - any chance you can do something similar for Oblivion!? ;)

Maybe.

Haha, yeah that would be great too.
Anyway will finish Morrowind before to do that.

So, if I understand this correctly, could I just skip the AnimKit part of the installation and install animation compilation after I finish installing Morrowind Overhaul? (for the first-person animations)

I don't expect this to play nice with my 7300GT (or Athlon 64 X2 2400), though I've downloaded it in readiness for when I've assembled together a new PC (hopefully by November) which should play it somewhat better. Looking very, very nice indeed. Good job!

Great mod! I'm having some sound issues though. Some sounds, like opening doors or drawing weapons, are very quiet. Everything else is normal. Is there some way to fix that?

Try to switch to software mode instead of hardware accelerated under the audio options

Just noticed another new mod that you might want to include: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37947. Some nice results.

Im getting a wierd glitch where far away trees look like dirt but they disapear completely when I get close. It occurs in all areas except solstheim and im pretty sure I've tried all the different tree options with no luck. I'm only guessing its the overhaul that caused it because its the only graphics mod Im using at the moment.

I reinstalled the overhaul and the 1.1 update and it still persists. My only guess is that MGE is doing wierd things with distant statics, but it only happens with trees. I came here looking for an easy fix before I try a complete reinstall. I will be sure to get some screens next time i play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Let me start by saying how great this mod looks and how necessary I think something like this is for Morrowind's longevity.

EDIT: The overhaul is working great and looks awesome.

You could try using the MGSOO app to set Morrowind to use the 178 version of MGE, which is an older, more stable release than the version that is set by default.

Click on data files from morrowind launcher and check if all the plugins are checked.

The sounds are a bit louder, but still definitely not as audible as they should be. Also, another detail: I am able to get full volume drawing my weapon by quickly sheathing and drawing it.

Wow! The night sky is absolutely breathtaking! The moons are very high res, and look very realistic; and the nebulae are beautiful. The textures are also very crisp and clear. The magic effects feel/sound really powerful too.

I've only played for about 5 minutes, but I can't wait to explore the rest of the world now.

Thanks for compiling all the mods and making installation a breeze, it's very much appreciated!

First I'd like to thank KINGPIX and everyone involved with this mod compilation. The whole things installed without a hitch, and the game runs well.

EDIT: Nevermind, installing the update 1.1 fixed those issues.

1 other issue I have is Morrowind stops working when I try to quit the game.

You'll have to get used to that...it's the downside of getting the greatness of MGE. You can't make it go away if you want MGE

Yes the night sky is dreamy wispy as if stepping into a 1970s WARREN horror magazine like VAMPIRELLA or CREEPY with dazzling planets out of STARLOG magazine :D Find myself playing MORROWIND for hours on end something that hasnt happened since the release of OBLIVION.

Thanks again KINGPIX for the unreality which the mind touches.
