Oh, yeah, those are tipical shaders' problems, I don't know if there's a way to fix them but don't worry, they won't affect your game ;)

I'm really glad that you liked our guide, and so I will tell you a little secret...
yesterday evening we came up with a really good idea (imho)
We want to write a program called MGSO Options that explain and shows you the choices you have to make between different versions of the same thing.
For example you will have to choose between better bodies nvde version and underwear version, between dark vanilla looking trees and a lighter and colorful version of them and so on.
You will be able to do this with a few clicks and the program will take care to do all the file sobstitutution work for you! :D
So, what do you think about this?

That's a great idea! I love it when mods do stuff like this that make is easy for me to make decisions. Having choice is good and making the ability to make said choices easy is even better! The easiest it is to install the better :)

It will be a nice utility with screens and descriptions :)
By doing so the pack will fit for everyone :D

Okay, here's my little review ;)
I'm really impressed how everything blends so well even though it contains mods made by so many people. Shaders are impressive and were set really carefully. Bloom and DoF aren't overdone and are at a perfect balance, same can be said about the other shaders. Not only shaders were carefully chosen, but every single mod! It's really obvious how much work you guys put in this package, everything is thought so well. Also, a very detailed guide should do the job even for total newbies in modding Morrowind.

So, it's exactly the Overhaul I expected when I saw the screens: done carefully and with taste! It's really the opposite of rushed, totally random and infamous Morrowind 2011.

The only problem I had was with the exeOptimizer, whenever I tried to use this damn thing after some time I just got an error saying that "acces to the fpu.exe is refused" or something like that. I heard that it helps with FPS a little, I really could use some since I'm getting pretty low 17-25 outside. I just cant force myself to turn off any shaders beside SSAO ^_^.

What can I say..... I agreee! :D
You can really see how much work did the mw community do! Every little mod that you can see in the modlist fits perfectly with each other... It's wonderful.
I ' m a noob, I never installed mods before... this pack was so easy and quick to install, and it does what it says!
Thanks kingpix, thanks mw Overhaul Team, and a big tanks to the Morrowind Modding Community. This game will live forever, and all the merit is yours.

Bye!!!

Forgot to say, if the guide is updated to clarify exeopt having to be run again after installation, it should be noted that the user may have to answer no to restoring from Morrowind.exe.fpu2ssebak (<-- what my file was named, it had asked me, not sure if it always asks). Thanks.

I have a problem when installing because the installer cannot find programflow.txt:

How do I fix this?

I'm pretty sure that was fixed in the newest exe, but all you have to do is create a text file with that name in the mgso folder. It might also ask for a warnings.txt.

Great, I got it working :)

Theres just one thing though, I'm missing a few mods that I want that were used in the previous Morrowind 2011 thing that got taken down. There were mods in that with better faces and hair for the player character and NPCs, and another that added lots more NPCs to the game.

I'll try looking for them individually, but if anyone knows the names of those mods, it might be a nice idea to add them to this compilation if its allowed.

Look at Westly's mods and the mod Vvardenfell Visage. (in the site Planet Elder Scrolls)
And also look at MCA, LGNPC and Less Generic NPC.

I just checked planetelderscrolls and it appears that http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8931. I has been updated to version 1.01.

Also, might I suggest considering including the mod http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7574? This is a nice sound replacement of the magic sounds in Morrowind.

I'm not sure if you have a mod that does this already in your compilation, but you might also want to take a look at http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6196 another must-have graphics mod in my opinion.

I also noticed that this compilation doesnt already include better textures for the game, could I suggest adding in Morrowind Visual Pack?

Um, yes it does? That's sort of the whole point? And if you check the credits he's using Richer Textures as a base which is a very nice mod.

Uhm, that's strange.
Did you installed MGSO "as administrator"?
Windows security doesn't allow programs to put files in certain folders, maybe the textures didn't get copied

Do you use Steam?
Did you install Connary's textures linked in the install guide?

I just followed the install guide and did what every step asked, was I meant to install the textures separately?

I just checked again and I do remember installing Connary's and Westleys mods first as it instructed, I'll try that again though.

Ok nvm, its working now. I reinstalled Connary's textures and remade the distant lods. Its odd though because the texture files were already installed and it asked me to replace them all, I think I might have accidentally only copied two of the folders instead of all three the first time.

Its working nicely fully maxed out with 8x AA on a GTX 460 and a 4 Ghz I7 920. I actually have two 460s in SLI, but Morrowind is too old a game and it slows down to 15-20 fps with SLI enabled, but runs at 25-50 fps with SLI turned off (fully modded ofc). I just made a seperate profile for it with the SLI option set to single GPU so I dont need to keep on changing the settings for other games.

One problem I still have is that MGEgui 3.8.2 wont open, and I have to use 3.8.0 which doesnt have the SM 3.0 options for the water.
