[RELz] Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 4:49 am

When I entered a tomb, I got this warning: NiAnimation Error: Object "Bip01 Tail" not found in NiAnimation.

It asked me if I wanted to keep running executable, I clicked "Yes to All" and continued. I entered the tomb and encountered a Crippled Skeleton that was stuck in place. It was doing the walking animation in place and when killed, it didn't fall over, it "splayed" out standing up.

I have Creatures X and MCA 6.1 installed. I think MCA adds Crippled Skeletons.

Yes, that's an issue with the animations, please open the AnimKit and disable the new Dirnae Animations, thanks.

This error will be corrected with the new patch of the pack.

EDIT:

Guys, I have a problem with AnOldFriend's "Illuminated Armor" mod included in Overhaul.
The armors should look like http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Concepts/?action=view¤t=IndorilArmor.mp4 but in fact I get only http://savepic.org/1465510.jpg partial effect.. as you can see the cuirass (chest part) doesn't have the reflection maps. Daedric and glass armors from the mod share the same issue. Any thoughts?

Yes, I forgot to add the modified Detailed Armors meshes, DUH.
They will be corrected in the next patch, when I get home.

KINGPIX, you're fast! Thanks for the reply.
P.S. I first thought that issue was caused by AnimKit, but cleaning it out of my MW installation gave no effect at all.

Are the new animations still active in game?

No, I have reverted back to standard anims before cleaning out AnimKit's presence. Then backed up and deleted all of the anim_* , xanim_* , Xbase_anim* , base_anim* meshes just to exclude all offending factors then fired up the TES CS to check the result. But the problem persists...still investigating, help appreciated.

PS I'm going to get my clean vanilla MW install out of the deepest backup :hubbahubba: and try to run tests on it.

Got it running without any errors. The installation was really simple, thanks for this great work! However I have some performance issues. For some reason, i can get over 100fps indoors, but my fps immediately drops to the low 20s~30s and sometimes even as low as 12fps outdoors. I'm running Windows 7 64bit, and have an i7 2600, hd 5870 and 8gb of ram.
My mge settings are -
Resolution: 1920 x 1080
2x AA
16x AF
All shaders except DoF
Mesh detail : high
World texture res: 2048, World normalmap res: 1024
Minimum static: 100
15 cell draw distance
Shadel Model 3
Even in outdoor areas practically without grass, npcs, trees, water and the like, my fps can drop below 20.
Is there something I did wrong? It runs even worse than crysis or metro 2033. :banghead:

I've got the same issues with 'illuminated armor' even with fresh MW install.. :(

P.S. Maybe something is wrong with the mod itself, dunno.. tried to re-download it http://www.4shared.com/file/iPQvhvln/IlluminatedArmor.html you gave in readme but my comparison utility shows that all files are binary identical (except the 'A_Glass_Helmet.nif' which doesn't make any difference) to those from Overhaul.

Hi Kingpix!

I removed the link.

If you want you can use the translation on your site. The video is a great idea. Thank you for this project!

Ok now I have a really weird problem I just noticed. It seems like there isn't any sound effect for the weapon landing hits on a monster with my setup, causing me to not know if I did land a hit or not. What's causing this problem?

Hi Kingpix - You asked for some screenshots, and they are attached below. This is with the Ebony Mail and some other constant effect items being worn (including those which grant partial camouflage). First image is from the first person point of view and second, is third person point of view.

Hmmm, I really don't know, never had that problem :/

The problem isn't of the armor, but the shield effect!
Please download the fix here: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8987

Okay I almost finished the patch, and the videotutorial for the installation that is meant to remove any doubt about the installation process.

Stay tuned!

Hi there. Just downloaded the mod and installed it correctly - it starts up just fine. I'm playing on a machine with a low-end graphics card, so I checked all the 'lite' options and didn't use the Graphics Extender (checked the box that disables it during the installation). Despite this, the game plays with extremely heavy lag in certain areas. It seems that whenever I look at an NPC the game slows to a snail's pace. Is this just because something has tipped the bad graphics card over the edge, or something else bundled with the mod?

Oh, I was using Better Bodies and Clothes already before I enabled this mod, so it isn't (or at least shouldn't) be that causing the problem. I'm not sure what else it is that could be causing the trouble. I was just testing things in the prologue, and when facing Jiub, the game is choppy and unplayable. Turn around to face the clutter away from Jiub and the game speeds up to regular levels. Was there anything that would've vastly increased performance demands on NPCs to that extent that I could disable?
