I've successfully installed MGSO and the 1.1 patch, but I notice that a lot of the new trees block my movement! Especially in Seyda Neen and in Solstheim. What's going on?

EDIT: I know the huge trunks are supposed to block my movement, but leaves and branches shouldn't. They tend to dangle down really low and are well within the player's normal movement space, and it's totally blocking the movement, solid as a brick wall.

Wich variant of trees are you using for the bitter coast?

I think it uses Enhanced Sounds instead, which is based on ASE.

Is that the mod that's giving me issues with the effects volume?

I think it is. I am experiencing similar volume troubles. Most sounds too low, though some are high. Some aren't there at all. BUT it's not a big problem, and hasn't dampened my extreme enthusiasm for this mod(s).

I am still tweaking MGE to get a good frame rate. I am getting a new graphics card in a few days and then I can start ramping up that distant land. :disguise:

I hope that the second compilation for gameplay gets done pretty quick. It'll be awesome if between the two compilations I won't need any mods except those that I want for my own personal preference.

One thing to add: Usually I can click on the effects volume slider to bring down things like creaking signs and what-not, but when I go inside buildings there's a really loud whooshing/buzzing sound that isn't affected by any of the volume sliders. It's not a huge deal, but it can be sort of grating.

Well http://www.fileplanet.com/218533/210000/fileinfo/The-Elder-Scrolls-III:-Morrowind---Morrowind-Overhaul-Mod
And follow the instructions.

As for keeping your old Morro-install; no; you have to do a clean install following the procedures in the read-me ( which is quite easy to follow and nicely written)
Once you have the Overhaul mod installed and running! You can still install your favorite mods again!

:toughninja:

Thank you. I am backing up what I have now so if I don't like what it is, I have my back up to go by.

I signed up at the site and I was able to dowload the mod through the torrent, so now after the back up, I am going to do a clean install and reinstall all the other mods then as you suggest. Thank you.

It's because you don't have applied the patch 1.1 ^^

Weird issue with the trees. I don't know how to describe it.....the leaves and tops of the trees look like large cardboard squares. It doesn't matter which tree option I pick. It is really strange looking. ??????

I had this error as well. I read the FAQ and found this.

I’m getting a strange error: “Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_Snow_01.nif”

You have to copy/paste the following text in your Morrowind.ini file (you can find it in the Morrowind folder), under the [Level Up] section:

[Archives]
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=Flora Glow.bsa

Here is the http://morrowindoverhaul.net/blog/?page_id=51

Read the FAQ link it even gives a pic to see how it should look.

Before I did this all I got was a black screen, after I did this, the game loaded with no problems at all.

I am having a few problems right now, but I realized I don't have the 1.1 patch installed. I am downloading it now and will install when it's done.

I do have a question just in case this doesn't fix the problem I am having. What mod is being used for the NPC face replacer? I find this one so nice, so young instead of alot of NPCs looking old. If anyone knows, can you please post a link or the name of this mod.

Also what mod is being used to get the jewels or soul gems to look transparent and so beautiful?

I used these http://knotstheinane.blogspot.com/p/morrowind-modding-guide.html for all my mods and I am loving the water effects. Does anyone know what mod, or how did I get the effects of the water? I can't find it right now. Maybe because it's almost 1am, and I just can't read properly right now.

Also can I transfer a saved file from the mods I used for the above "instructions" and put it in the Overhaul mod? I tried this the first time, and something went screwy, I had the Tamriel rebuilt map when I didn't have the mod installed and it screwed up my world map so I uninstalled everything and started over. Now I have Tamreil rebuilt installed in the Overhaul mod so can I transfer the save now? I don't want to screw anything up again so I am leary of doing it this time.

Thanks in advance any help you can give me. :)

Soulgems are added by http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5161.
Water effects are added by the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1174576-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/.

It seems the patch has fixed the problem issues I was having. When I installed the Better Belmora or what ever it was called (sorry forget the name) when you have that added buildings south of the Stilt Rider, pre patch I still had hills and the aqueduct was mostly hidden. Post patch everthing seems ok now. I was fallowing the instructions on how to install The Overhaul mod, I totally forgot about the patch 1.1.

Now I just have to rememeber what other mods I wanted to have included in the mods.

Great work, and I love how I can change settings latter if I need to.

Thanks to the person who has done this, great job. Thanks for G Staff mentioning in the blog or I wouldn't have noticed this. I wouldn't have noticed this if I didn't have Facebook since I hardly ever read blogs of any type.

Thankyou TennysolXII for the links, greatly appreciated.

I have to admit that when Kingpix first approached me about this project, I dismissed him as one of those people who tries and ultimately fails to release a big pack of mods together. But after having seen how he's stuck with it and the final result... I'm quite glad to have been proven wrong.

...especially, since a lot of thought and work were put into this! I was skeptical at first as well, but as I am writing this, I am also downloading the entire package and let it loose on a brand new install. So without being able to provide any feedback (yet), I already think everyone involved deserves a big :icecream:

I've gone through and followed the installation instructions by the letter, and I've installed the 1.1 patch. When I attempt to click Play on the Morrowind menu, the screen goes black and a "da" sound occurs. Then it boots me back to the desktop. Mlox isn't reporting any conflicts. Anyone have any suggestions?
