KingPix and the Morrowind Overhaul Team are proud to present the first package of the project “Morrowind Overhaul”! It’s an Italian project started 2 years ago.

FIRST THINGS FIRST:
The mods included in this package were NOT created by KingPix. The credits list that you can find here includes every single modder who made this possible! I also want to thank the morrowind modding community for the huge work they did in those past 8 (almost 9!) years. I have personally contacted mod authors and received approval to use their mods in this package. I was unable to contact some mod authors, and have done my best to abide by their wishes as specified in their mod's readmes.

"Morrowind Sounds and Graphics Overhaul" is the first pack. It contains mods that will alter and enhance the visual graphics and the sounds of the game.

The aim of this project is to make more people around the world appreciate this huge game by giving them a simple installation file which includes everything they will need to play Morrowind with gorgeous graphics and sounds. I’ve tried to keep Morrowind’s “feeling”; therefore, the mods/meshes/textures I chose are the ones that I think are most faithful to the original colours and environment.

A benefit of this compilations is that players don’t need to go through the “download every single mod out there and try it” phase of customizing Morrowind. The pack is intended for people who would prefer not to hand-pick mods out of the thousands of mods available. Modding Morrowind can be overwhelming for some people, and they might want to start out with a compilation before they feel comfortable picking and choosing mods on their own.

UPDATES:
Please note that this pack will be often updated with new versions of the mod included, bugfixes, and so on. These updates will be available as patches. After 3 or 4 patches, I will create a new version of this compilation package. You can find all the current updates/patches http://morrowindoverhaul.net/blog/?page_id=9.

CONTACT:
Please leave feedback: I want to hear your comments, suggestions, advice, and criticism.
http://http://morrowindoverhaul.net/forum/index.php/topic,12.0.html
But you can also contact me...
By sending me an e-mail (dedicated e-mail adress): morrowindoverhaul@gmail.com

MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY:
Please tell me as soon as possible if there are issues like “oh no, you didn’t credited [modder_name’s_here]!” or “no, you can’t include my mod in this package.” If you do not want your content in this package, let me know, and I will remove it right away.

Oh, and just to be correct, here's the Morrowind Overhaul Team behind this project:

Is there a way you could include an option not to use better bodies?

Some people don't like better bodies. You'd probably also have to include an option not to install better clothing, etc with that (if you include that, dunno never used this mod LOL). Thanks though! Look forward to the next version. This looks so cool!

Well, I never met someone that didn't like BB, but no problems, will include it, thanks for the suggestion.

No rush, I understand that being this awesome takes time, but do you have a timeframe for the release of 1.2?

I also have to ask who would install this sort of massive overhaul and not use something that makes the people look better.

The water reflections are part of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1174576-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/, I believe. I'm not sure I understand your second question, but the grass comes from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7762, with http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8065--or from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8378, depending on what options you choose.

The first post in this thread has a link to a document that lists all the mods included in the Overhaul, including these.

The compilation looks great! I also appreciate the installation walk throughs, really helps clarify everything.

My question is, I've got a good running Morrowind right now, and I don't want to mess it up too bad.

Here's my load order before installing the overhaul. Can anyone tell me if I should disable any of these mods before installing the overhaul.

_001_ Morrowind.esm
_002_ Tribunal.esm
_003_ Bloodmoon.esm
_004_ Texture Fix - Bloodmoon 1.1.esm
_005_ Texture Fix 1.8.esm
_006_ Better Bodies.esp
_007_ Creatures.esp
_008_ CR Ore Replacer 1.0.esp
_009_ correctUV Ore Replacer 1.0.esp
_010_ Vurt's Solstheim Trees & Bushes Replacer.ESP
_011_ More Better Clothes.ESP
_012_ New Argonian Bodies - Clean.esp
_013_ New Khajiit Bodies - Clean.esp
_014_ Better Clothes_v1.1_nac.esp

Deaths Grip: Most if not all of those mods are included in MOSG. Of course, I'm probably dead wrong, so wait for the advice of someone who actually knows what they're talking about :P

Another bug to report, even though I'm sure you all know about it: Whenever I'm near any localized sound effects (e.g., fire, rushing water, creaking docks, etc.) the effects volume jumps way up. If I go into the menu and click on the effects volume slider, it goes back to where I've set it until the next time I pass near the effect. Anyone know of a fix?

I just noticed two distant land fixes that were released for MGE at TESnexus. The first is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37861 and the second is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37860. Note: these mods should only be activated in the distant land setup wizard menu, they should NOT be enabled in-game (thus if you include them with the overhaul make sure you provide those instructions :).

I think it uses Enhanced Sounds instead, which is based on ASE.

And congrats on the http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/04/04/must-see-morrowind-mod/ (Thanks Gstaff), the project definitely deserves the atttention.

I went to the page to download it, and it brought me http://www.fileplanet.com/218533/210000/fileinfo/The-Elder-Scrolls-III:-Morrowind---Morrowind-Overhaul-Mod. Where do I downlod it? I can't find the "button" or link to "download" it. What am I missing? Where do I go to download it?

How compatible is this with other mods? I have alot of mods installed, and I want to keep Morrowind Rebuilt 1 and 2 and Balmora extended. What should I do?

Well http://www.fileplanet.com/218533/210000/fileinfo/The-Elder-Scrolls-III:-Morrowind---Morrowind-Overhaul-Mod
And follow the instructions.

As for keeping your old Morro-install; no; you have to do a clean install following the procedures in the read-me ( which is quite easy to follow and nicely written)
Once you have the Overhaul mod installed and running! You can still install your favorite mods again!

...and if you're not seeing the big blue button (it sometimes doesn't load), move your mouse pointer to the right of the screenshot at the top of the page, right above where the 7z filename is displayed, and you should be able to click on the download link even if the button is invisible.
