Morrowind player moving to Oblivion - build advice

Post » Fri Sep 07, 2012 2:41 pm

Before I start my first Oblivion game, what do I need to know about the skills, particularly as they relate to one another or have hidden quirks? For example, in Morrowind, it took me half a playthrough to realize that there was little reason for me to choose both Stealth and Illusion on the same character. As another example, I think I remember reading that there is no way to open locks underwater in Oblivion without Lockpicking. I would love to have all of these kinks worked out before I commit!

Thanks a bunch.

What i found out ablivion is, no matter what your major or your minor skills, you train with it, you good at it.

Everybody can do what they want to do, no matter they are basically warrior, thief, mage, ect.

You can be a mage without casting spells at all, you can be a warrior without using weapons and armor at all

It is depends on what you want to use no matter those skills are your major or minor skills. You can maxed out all your minor skills without touching major skills or maxed out major skills without touching minor skills if you want to...

In Oblivion everybody can be anything if they wish to.

Character class just don't make sense anymore...only role-playing
