[Idea] Morrowind Post Oblivion Crisis & Stuff

Post » Tue Sep 22, 2015 2:53 pm

Well I Was Thinking Of Making 2 Mods One During The Oblivion Crisis In Which You'd Be Fighting Daedra In Morrowind and The Destruction Of ald-ruhn To Fighting Daedra In Different Places and Maybe a Large Battles and then one Post skyrim With return of the nerevarine trying to rebuild morrowind and whatnot.

also the horrible xplosion of redmountain and destruction of vivec

Not Sure If I Wanna Tackle This More Of an Idea and would need many many Resources Plus i dont have neither of the xpansions or if anyone has thought of this :X

It add a new twist to classic morrowind imo <3

I know MA once started a project about a daedric realm in Oblivion with a portal in-game and I tried to find the thread, but no I couldn't find it and I dunno what happen with that project.

I think your idea, although it is a good idea, would be too difficult to accomplish.

How will you handle the Redoran raising Ald Skar (the emperor crab) and sending if off to battle the daedra? Incidentally, if you didn't capitalise the first letter of just about every word in your sentences, they would be much easier to read...

I like the first idea, about Oblivion Crisis happening in Morrowind. Best of luck to you if you think you can pull this off.

Regarding community help: I think, while this community is indeed very kind and helpful, you should still interest it with your project to get help. I mean, do some preliminary work, research lore (or invent something new), gather resources, show some tasty screens. And be prepared for the situation when no-one shows interest in your work for some time.

I would recommend starting small. Make a small portion of that grand project of yours, that would feel like a finished mod itself.

Here's some ideas:

1) Create an Oblivion plane which belongs to some lesser Daedra Prince, with some quests revolving around it.

2) Create a mod where only a single village would be attacked by some Daedra, and have a player determine the cause of invasion and put it to the end.

3) Make several new models for your future mod, for example, weapons, and give it to some merchant.

heh heh Im Thinking Of Using Pirate Lords Daedric Resource Mods Which I have and expanding on that

armors and whatnot I'd look around the community and use the various Daedric Mods and resources

I have lots of daedric resources Just incase

Regarding Making armor and whatnot

im awful at that so thats were ill need help

also i'll need new creature models that'll require vanilla morrowind

I could probably start Doing the most i can with vanilla morrowind then pass the torch to someone else or something :l <3

This Idea is really getting me hyped

Other Ideas ] --- }

Bonemold Wearing Bounty Hunter Squads With Xclusive BoneMold armor set and whatnot especially helmets

Random Daedra Encounters

More Dead Things On The Roads ( Bodys animals )

The Ruined BeachSide (Formerly Known as Vivec) of Vivec Since The Meteor Destroyed Vivec and Ebonheart With Full Impact Meaning Id Have to edit the landscape of the areas and also add random lava to parts of Morrowind etc etc etc

Ill Need a list of citys that have been affected

Tbh This Sounds Fun heh heh

Thank You <3

No.

Btw. changing landscape during game for example via scripts or like that (for your meteor crash) is not possible.

Otherwise I like the idea, but the amount of necessarry work for everything you mentioned is huge.

Hmmm... that possibly could work (but I might be missing something).

Anyway, I highly agree with wretched fetcher, you should pick something smaller and try to create it as separate mod. You will get the knowledge how to do stuff and also get idea of how much time bigger project might take.

That would be great for my character's roleplay :)

Also I'd suggest to look at Beyond Skyrim's Morrowind lore threads, it has the full list of destroyed Morrowind settlements.

You can't change the Landscape, but you can enable/disable Statics. So it would be easy to hide a crater, and then reveal it later by changing Statics.
It would just take a lot of work to fit it into the vanilla world naturally.

Are you trying to give us headaches? :bonk: Please stop making your text difficult to read ;)

I did a post apocalyptic Morrowind and it's very difficult without ruined meshes, like in Fallout 3.

I couldn't figure out how to do the rubble in Blender.

The Russian Chaos Heart project has a lot of ruined architecture meshes if someone was interested.

Do you know what's their stance on using Chaos Heart resources in other projects? I may be interested in a few meshes if they don't mind, but I can't read Russian language to check the readme file.

If I'm thinking of the same thing you're referring to, it's not a full list and some of it is conjecture. I'll have a full list of destroyed Vvardenfell settlements up soon, but some of it is conjecture due to the patchiness of the lore

I am actually not 100% certain on this. I have asked over on their forums. The first response is that the readme is not clear about what is allowed. Hopefully a team member will respond.

Basically, Ald-Ruhn (or what was left of it when it was nuked) looked way too clean, even with the Chaos Heart models. There was no sign of any major damage and the interiors looked like how they were back in the Third Era. It was supposed to have had radioactive craters and major cracks in the remaining buildings, but it didn't happen.

It would be nice if there were true destroyed Morrowind meshes, like Vivec cantons being cracked in half and falling into the sea. But I'm not a modeller so despite my best attempts, I couldn't get the canton to crack.
