Morrowind Rebirth BETA

Introduction
Welcome to Morrowind Rebirth, the ultimate Morrowind experience!
Morrowind Rebirth is a huge mod that will transform Vvardenfell into something
very special, a world full with detail & life. This is the first part of Morrowind
Rebirth, that will offer a big overhaul to the Ascadian Isles, parts of Bitter Coast
& parts of West Gash. More areas will see a transformation in the months to
come! The following cities have been reworked: Caldera, Balmora, Suran, Dren
Plantation, Pelagiad, Ebonheart & Seyda Neen. More cities & landscape edits
will follow in future updates. I've listed some of the changes down below.

* Smoother landscapes & fixes for a huge number of landscape seams.
* A large number of new NPC's and evenually new creatures.
* Shops will close nighttime between 8 pm – 8 am.
* New music, splashscreens and new main menu.
* Fixes a large number of floaters and glitches.
* New weapons, misc items & clutter.
* Reworked cities

Mods Included:
Vurt's West Gash Trees, Vurt's Ascadian Isles Trees(ground textures excluded)
/ Bull Netch & some of Vurt's Bitter Coast Trees combined with Vality7 big trees.
New Comberry Bush by Rhymer.

Why BETA?
Well I'm not really satisfied with the current version. There's still some interiors
that needs to be completed + other small things I'm not really happy with.
Anyhow I've made a promise to the moddb community so why not release it
in it's current state. It's fully playable & should be pretty bugfree :)

Notes
* This mod is recommended to be used without mods editing the Ascadian Isles,
Bitter Coast and West Gash. Texture replacers excluded.

* I recommend using Morrowind Code Patch along with Morrowind Rebirth. Some
of Vurt's Trees use bumpmaps, which won't look good without it.

* This mod will require a high end computer to run smoothly. You have been warned.

* Full creditlist and further info can be found in the readme.

So wait....After looking at the screenshots it looks like you added a bridge to Gnisis, a wall to Balmora, and a few other things to places. Can you or anyone else show me like...an aerial view comparison of the towns? Is there anything in here that could invalidate savegames?

Edit: Looked at the screenshots in the main post, disregard my first question this looks amazing.

Truly awesome changes to the cities Trancemaster. Are you planning on modding in any of Vurt's grass in as well? Also will there be anyway for us to use Vurt's second series of tree replacers rather than the first for those of us that prefer to?

I dunno about savegames. But there's a huge list of changes, mostly landscaping though. I'd advice you to start a new game.
Hope you like it!

Thanks! Well I don't know how to make it work with Vurt's grass, if someone could then yes. It depends on what pack you're going to use, specify which & I'll tell you :)

I already posted on the Nexus but here I am.
Everyone can see how much efforts you put into this.
There is SO MUCH attention for the details, so many cool touches of class around.
The only little defect (and is absolutely not your fault), it's that it may hit the performances, especially in Balmora.
Other than that this is definetly a great addition to the game atmosphere. When you see the improvements, the first thing that you'll think is: "wow, why wasn't it there before? It fits very well!"
So, yeah, simply keep it up!

This looks nice, but I'll be waiting until it's compatible and consistent with the NPC-related stuff on http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html, mainly Economy Adjuster, Service Requirements, and BTB's mod.

Oh thank you so much!
I know that it may cause lower fps, but as you say.. there's really nothing I can do about that. :(

It will work with BTB's mod. I'm using it & there's no issues yet. I'm not sure about Economy Adjuster & Servicev Req though, should work.

Anyone having issues with my mod? Please tell if you do.

Another note. I've began working on the things that I left out in the BETA, like interiors/smoothering/missing item ownership etc. I'm also getting help from Crankgorilla, who's finishing the Vivec Dock interiors atm. I'm pretty sure it all will be done somewhere around the middle of next month, perhaps even at the end of this month. Any suggestions would also be welcome :)

How does this mod play with MW overhauled? I prefer using the trees and whatnot that I have chosen from Overhaul, is it possible to keep the look I have with the Overhaul? And can I use the vanilla music if I want, I normally don't care for music replacers?

I don't use Vurts for the Bitter coast, because I don't think they keep the original feel of the game and I also only use Vurts lite stuff for the other regions. And what about the music? Can I just use vanilla? Does this add quests? Or Npc schedule's?

Ah, for Bitter Coast there's a mixture of Vurt's "small" trees & Vality7's Big Trees. For AI I used Vurt's Ascadian Isles 1, and the landscape is pretty much built around it (I've made some pretty drastic landscape changes). Although it might work pretty well with Vurt's Ascadian Isles 2 (I assume you're using this one). But to be honest I cannot guarantee that it will work well. You could always use a second installment of Morrowind if you wanna try it out :)

I don't know the names of the ones I am using, they are called lite in the options for MW overhauled. But what about my other questions, music, quests, schedules?

You can use the vanilla music. I've located the new music in an extras folder, so the choise is your own. Morrowind Rebirth won't add quests or schedules to NPC's. Though all shops (plus some other buildings) will close nighttime between 8 pm - 8 am.

Thanks for the response, any plans for quests in the future?

I've just tried running Rebirth with Overhaul (I love them both). The main issue I'm having is floating grass (http://img193.imageshack.us/i/mgescreenshot6.jpg/). I have no idea whether it'd be easier for you or the guy making Overhaul to make these two mods compatible, but I'd love it if you could. As it is, I have to constantly struggle between having amazing graphics and amazing level design.

Anyway, great work with the mod; it makes everything feels so fresh and gives much more life (and sensibility in design) to the game. :)
