It is the four hundred and first year of the First Era, and in the East, in Morrowind, a new age is about to dawn. An ambitious and cunning lordling named Indoril Nerevar seeks to unite the backward and disparate Chimeri clans to form for the first time in the regions history a true nation-Resdayn. But this will not be an easy task. The Chimer are fractious, war like, and suspicious by nature. They will not be united easily. And in addition to the Great Houses of the Chimer he must contend with the savage Ashlander clans, the learned and enigmatic Dwemer, and the ferocious occupying forces of the Nords of Skyrim.
Soon the alien wastes of Morrowind will run red with blood.
I hope it's ok to post this here, since it concerns something off site. I'm currently in the process of making a Morrowind based roleplaying/strategy war game on another site, and thought this might be a good place to pick up players. As the above paragraph states, this is based in the time period before the War of the First Council, and will focus on Lord Indoril Nerevar's attempt to unite the Great Houses, the Ashlanders, and the Dwemer against foreign invaders such as the Nords. It will involve war, politics, and of course, roleplaying.
The site has a handy and easy to learn interface for observing and moving armies against each other. The game will be as realistic as possible, and you'll have to worry about raising levies to fight your wars-but not so many that your villages starve from a lost harvest, supply for your forces in arms, morale under combat conditions, and more. It will also have a (hopefully, as it's still a work in progress) robust magic and character system, including the ability to make up your own characters for factions that have no known leaders at this time. For those that do, you'll get to play as folks like Lord Nerevar, Dumac Dwarf-Orc, and pre-Heart of Lorkhan Dagoth-Ur.
So if you're interested, the game can be found at this URL: http://forumgaming.com/SMF2/index.php
As you'll see we also have other games, based on things like the Lord of the Rings and ancient Rome, although spots are now scarce for these older ones.
