Morrowind?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:09 am

Haven't been in the forums in half a year, but nothing's changed I see, heh:) Btw, hi guys, long time no see!:D

I played Morrowind, Oblivion and Daggerfall (in that order) and I definitely don't regret playing Daggerfall after the two more advanced (in theory) games, so go buy MW and have fun. You probably will have trouble getting used to the graphics at first (I had a huge in DF), but you might find amazing things about this and other TES games. I found out I like DF's fighting system best, on default it's less static than MW's and you have actually more control than in OB without being a skilled gamer (in OB I always ended uo leaping forward only to miss the enemy and I felt almost no control over my character in combat, which was much more frustrating than missing in MW, which I didn't even notice).

Bottom line is you should play all the TES games you have the capacity to play. Arena will probably be already "unreachable" to you as it was for me because of the time gap, it's just old and lacking many ease of access features (or dumbing-downs as some would call it) that nowadays' players are used to. But you might still find some fun in Daggerfall and I wouldn't be so hasty as to scratch TES Adventures and Legend (I hope they will be made availble like Arena and Daggerfall so players who missed them can check'em out at least, I'd really like to play Redguard).

It is a excellent game it is a little glichy i guess but it was made in what 03? Over all i love morrowind and would give it 8/10 considering when it was made. You can get game of the year edition cheap on ebay or amazon.

Would we be seeing the same results if this were posted in the Oblivion forum? Does my vote count if I've never played OB?
Regardless, IT IS worth buying!

Hmm....Wonder why these "old' threads aren't locked if it's such a issue?

Regardless of your TES game being Oblivion, if you buy Morrowind, youll fall in love with it as well. Plenty of people play both, and put alot of hours into both. Hell, theres still people on the forums that still play Arena and Daggerfall. If you buy it, there WILL be something that you love about it.

My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion, and of course I fell in love with it. However, I've heard a lot of people talking about Morrowind, and saying that Morrowind is still their favorite, even after playing Oblivion. I'm considering buying Morrowind, just to see, but I'm wondering what you all who have played both think about that. Would it be worth it?? Thanks, and sorry if this is in the wrong place!!

I say go for it!

And as already mentioned read the UESP article of Oblivion players going to morrowind because It will show you the differences.
