to what color do you think I should change the font on the red background? Also, should everyone get magic? Or just the mage?
EDIT: In addition, who would rather that the game is more of a text adventure (text input)? Who would rather keep it as is?
Not sure about the colors, as white text would probably be easier to read but might look weird at the same time. As for magic, I think if you go for the archetype approach, you might as well go all the way. If my mage failed at picking a beginner lock, I don't see why a rogue or a warrior would be able to cast even the simplest spell.
And I really like the "choose your own adventure" style. As Pinkertonius said though, just try to avoid auto-decisions like the barrel. Contrary to the game, we don't
need to look into the barrel to learn how to use magic, so you could provide it as an optional action. And that's it. Keep up the good work.
