The officers on horseback were still huddled in a group when he rode to give them orders. "Andelero, take the archers, get to over onto that little ridge." He pointed at a low hill a couple hundred yards away. "Basalor, get your Spellswords on the right of the Regulars. We must make sure the lower levels are clear before rushing into anything higher. Do not move up until ordered to do so!" With that he began to put on his helm and said, "Talos prevails!" His officers replied, "Talos prevails!"

I dislike length. It is hard to get a sense of your writing when there is very little.

Sounds like something out of a movie you saw recently. I see no personal effort in here. If you want to make a believer (in your story) out of me, show me some real effort.
