Morrowind 10 year anniversary release for Xbox 360 and ps3

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:19 pm

they wont for only one reason that I know of......if they bought it and played it then their would be a [censored]load mode morrowinders and can see alot of things that had changed and beth wouldny be able to continue on easy route of developing the game. I love oblivion and skyrim but u can see that iys more like they trying to make their jobs easier and not have to incorporate alll the stuff theyve been cutting out.

Has anybody thought that they might release Morrowind for free like they did for TES I and II ?
It's very unlikely, because Morrowind can still be fbought from Steam. So unlike with Daggerfall and Arena, they're still making money off it.

I'd gladly buy it so long as it was a remake of the original game and not set in fourth era Morrowind. I have no deisre to see Vvardenfell occupied by the filthy lizards.

Yes if it was the same game, same mechanics, but the bugs were fixed and they did an overhaul on the graphics....I dare say u would have yet again another best seller.

I think a 10 year Anniversary release for Xbox 360 would be awsome! Except I want it to be the Game of The Year Edition.

I would add better combat mechanics like combos and the like, some extra perks (or skills you gain automatically when you reach a certain skill level -like it was before Skyrim), Partly better animations...but that would be it. Possibly more diverse dialogue.
(Though I'm speaking from an pc angle, where the community already did an intense job to improve that game.)

Oh...and for gods sake keep out the effin markers (be it for quests or whatever). As Morrowind has no markers, the game is still kind of mysterious for me...and I didn't figure it out completely (e.g. the master trainer's locations).

It's better to travel with a compass. one does not want to wander around like a fool forever.

Well, you have that tiny thing in the lower right corner which shows you the way.:

Though you are right. Right now I'm looking a "Let's Play Morrowind" from some guy, who plays that game for the first time (in vanilla settings, so no fancy draw distance) & he partly has no clue where he needs to go.
But MGE made it alot easier to navigate.

if they released an anniversary morrowind for the 360 with nothing more than updated graphics, i'd buy it in a heartbeat.

let alone, all the additional changes they could make with it.

I'd probably buy it twice just to show Bethesda that Morrowind is still greatly loved, and has a large audience that would purchase an Elder Scrolls 6 that hearkened back to Morrowind more than Skyrim or Oblivion.

But at the same time I'm not sure it's necessary. Mods have already 'remastered' the game to the point of almost modern graphics, so any actual improvements they could do without undertaking the process of making the game completely over from the ground up would be small, except perhaps optimizing performance for modern computer hardware.
