Morrowing expansion question...

Post » Sat Jul 16, 2011 3:54 am

I own the original Morrowind CE+ Tribunal, sadly I did not get bloodmoon in time. There was mention in another thread of the official expansions being available free to download on this site, while that would be wonderful news I think perhaps the person might be mistaken. So is my only option for getting bloodmoon to buy goty, or is there still a way to get it (legally) I don't mind paying for it but would rather not be forced to buy goty just to get 1 expansion I don't own?

Yes, the person was mistaken. Perhaps in 2014 Bethesda will release MW for free to celebrate the 15th anniversary of TES the same way they released Arena and Daggerfall. But for now you'll have to either buy GOTY or possibly find a used copy of Bloodmoon on eBay or something.

Well I was expecting this answer not what I wanted to hear but thank you just the same, its a shame they don't still offer the expansions as stand alone downloads for purchase.

In the other thread I said DLC.

DLC does not mean expansion....it just so happens that DLCs are replaced expansions nowadays.

The DLCs for morrowind are small add-ons for the game, from some small misc things like swamp sound effects, right up to a full blown quest and dungeon. Those are the ones for download on the ES site.

The expansions, Tribunal and bloodmoon are only available in the GOTY now....which if you can find a copy is only about $10 now....so hardly mcuh if you wnat ot get the full game.

If you happen across one that cheap let me know, I have not had luck finding anything under 20! :)

As for the DLC sorry I know what down loaded content is, I just misunderstood your comment about what was free was all.

Believe I had seen that, think I may have found something on ebay for much less (if I get lucky) thank you for the link however. Also when I posted this I was mostly focused on morrowind goty and those are going for 20$+, but I did search before posting as I do love the internet! ;)

Well I just bit the bullet so to speak and purchased the goty from steam, has the advantage of no cd needed and most mods should work now that I have the full game! :)
