Mortal Kombat Demo FREE on PSN

Post » Sun Jul 04, 2010 1:26 pm

Yes you read it right, Mortal Kombat (release date April 19th) has a free demo up on the Playstation Network. It has 4 characters and 2 stages, but all the combos and finishers are intact. I just downloaded and played it a few minutes ago and immediately had to come and post. I really do believe Mortal Kombat is back. The gameplay is fast and fluid, special moves are responsive and the game is a lot of fun to play. I cannot wait untill this hits town and I can play it online.

Get on PSN and download this baby!!

FIGHT!!

Playable characters are : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tn9HMpCoSv8, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Dtz9TrXacA&feature=fvst, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx40J0N8xPY, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkIe20nDlBU

Might get the game, but it's not really a serious fighting game to me. Might be fun for a week or two, though.

Mortal Kombat was my favorite fighting game as a kid. Too bad I don't own a PS3.

Thats my draw to mortal kombat. Its not super serious, its not a technicians game like Street Fighter or Tekken. Mortal Kombat is more raw and its about fast action and blood. Its just the most fun damn thing on earth!

Hey, you just hush up, I paid for that piece o' crap!

I remember reading somewhere how they would make everything you did in the Prologue reflect in the full version...what a steaming pile of [censored] lies that was.

But Uh, yeah.... MK demo... pretty sweet.

I'm have not downloaded a demo.. since.. cant even remember the last demo I downloaded.. limited bandwidth and all you know..

If I can get this on the 360 I'd download it to try it, for sure.

Capcom spoiled ya?

SF (that's mvc and all those vs games inc.) is the COD of fighters.

Some demos on the PlayStation requires you to have a PS+ membership which means that you got to spend some money in order to get the demo first. If you do have then you would get new demos and such early than non-PS+ members. In the end, you could just wait for it several days until its no longer a PS+ demo.

Its a good thing I delete Prologue because it was a waste of space once I was done with it and I rather just start the game even though I doubt that you were going get extra stuff for playing Prologue.

Same here. I was actually hoping they would do ... erm... a port, like the new Street Figher IV. :(

Nope, I play every sort of fighting game from SF, to Guilty Gear to King of Fighters to DarkStalkers to Tekken.

What is a serious fighting game to you?

Pretty much the ones I list there, plus a lot more (I tried to give an overview of the main companies style of fighting game rather than list every single game).

This is only counting 2D fighters though, as it's silly to compare say... Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter.

Hopefully they will still release Tekken x Street Fighter

When is a demo not free?

When you have to pay for Playstation Plus to get it. Usually goes free a day or two later.
