1. Feral ghoul reavers- Even at lv 30 they are near unstoppable and easily outrun you (my most hated enemy). Recommended weapons and tactics= firing retreat with a tri beam or plasma rifle. nukes are preferred but as they are so fast you may die in the presses of using one.

2. Giant rad scorpions.- They always seem to hunt in 2's, are very fast, can kill you in about 4 hits wearing power armor and can take a hell of a beating.Recommended weapons and tactics= run and get to high ground then use any small arms to take em down, they will continue trying to attack you without success, if your not near any rocks, jump on a car, its just high enough.

3 Overlords.- fast, very powerful, more so than behemoths and can kill you in 2-3 hits, carry super sledges or tri-beam laser rifles. Takes allot of small arms fire or a mini nuke or 2 to take down. Recommended weapons and tactics= keep moving, don't try to run just keep moving to avoid his attacks whilst repeatedly blasting him with your strongest weapons. nuke them from a distance. If you have bottlecap mines place em down and they will reduce his health to the point where a few good shots will finish him.

4, sentry bots.- Not much of a threat if your wearing good armor but they are a pain to kill. Recommended weapons and tactics= keep moving and shooting, plasma nades and mines are very effective.

Cheers-

I'm going to say Reavers are also one of the most annoying enemies. They're fast, tough and do a lot of damage. Heck, they rip straight through my T-51b. And what's worse is that whenever I face them, they seem to start spacking about all over the place, so I can't hit them.
The Presidential Metro was legendary but frustrating at the same time. Though, I do enjoy the challenge... sometimes.

Add Bloatflies, as well. Seriously, what is the point of those things?

Charon was killed. R.I.P, good friend. :(

Me: Auto reload last save XD

Actually I honestly think Protectorons, bloatflies and DOGS are the most annoying. See a red blip. Get your team ready for battle. One hit kill a fly.
It svcks!

radscorpions
those little pricks can hear you sneaking from a mile away
i see the danger symbol flashing while im trying to sneak
i look off way into the distance and see a giant radscorpion charging at me from a mile away

and with no ears.....thats pretty damn amazing

You should watch tremors.

Swampfolk by far.

I put down 34 frag / plasma mines in a path when I knew I was going to be ambushed by 2 from behind and 2 from in front. While shooting at the 2 in front I hear all the mines go off. Then I get hit in the back with an axe. Apparently, that many mines is just a walk in the park for the swampfolk, because both of them had 3/4 of their HP.

Super Mutant Overlord's they have the Endurance of a Super Mutant Behemoth and they can drop you fast even at lvl 30, its between them and Deathclaws who are silent, deadly creatures. :tops:

My most ANNOYING enemies ever? I'll go for the top 5:

1. Super Mutant Overlords...Not even a Gatling Laser at full heal and a full clip takes down the bloody green giant
2. Reavers. They scare the goose-droppings out of me, but they're VERY annoying, considering they're hard to kill, and they can kill you easily
3. Deathclaws...'nuff said
4. Albino Radscorps. HATE HATE HATE THEM! Ever since I ran in to my first one, they've been popping up like dandelions! GAH!
5. Enclave soldiers. It's not just one; it's the entire BODY of them that show up out'a nowhere :/

To be honest I hate the swamp folk. They absorb so much ammo that coupled with the fact that reavers also sometimes spawn in the same map means your in for some tough times. Oh yeah they do a crap load of damage to you with any weapon they have not to mention some block their head with their lumpy arms! REAVERS! They never seem too bad as long as I have Fawkes with me, but he died when I told him to leave Adams Air force base and he didn't then the place got nuked. So when exploring Point Lookout I usually have a fully repaired A3-21's Plasma Rifle and the chinese stealth suit as to avoid the sponges.

Albino Radscorpions aren't too bad because I never really seem to encounter them too much even though I'm level 30.

Deathclaws aren't that bad I usually see them coming, though when I'm up north I have terrible luck and the usually get me unaware. I try to stay away from Old Olney, the medic PA isn't that interesting to me. Though I have been known to be stupid and head north equipped with only a 10mm pistol and a BB gun. Then Deathclaws can be frightening.

Overlords? Shoot the weapon out of their hands then go your merry way. If solution one didn't work for whatever reason make sure you carry an ample supply of ammo and explosives.

Bloatflies aren't that bad their aim svcks and they can't really chase you. Viscous dogs on the other hand they can give chase so your forced to kill them.

Albino Rads. Even my trusty Dart Gun doesn't seem effective against the Albino Rads, Deathclaws are even far easier to kill with one but not these bad-boys.
Plus at the moment, when I fast travel there is always one waiting for me. My finger is pressing VATS even before the screen loads because I know one will be there... as well as either the Talon Company or 1 or 2 Deathclaws. Sometimes that is a good thing if they are attacking the Scorpian and not me. But the Albino Rad just kicks tush and kills them pretty quick.

Reavers, Overlords, Albino Rad Scorpians; I honestly think that game engine places them all at the most dramatic points, none of these buggers like to go down without at least taking 20 stimpaks or bring your weapons durability to a spllinter.

I agree. Bethesda thought the best way to provide a fun challenge was to make enemies bullet sponges... huge mistake. It's not really even a challenge if there's only a few of them -- just very, very tedious.

Albino Radscorpions. They are moblile, take little damage, and have no weak point.

100% agreed, because there are generally multiple rad-scorpions in the same area.

Overlords and Albino Radscorpions. They just take SO MANY BULLETS! It really doesn't make much sense to me and aggravates me because with my level 30 on very hard, I can kill pretty much anything other than a deathclaw with a single clip of ammo. I like deathclaws though, they look kinda cool.

its my second playthrough now with the extras installed. I havent done the extra missions, still playing the original quests. But dogmeat and fawkes do all the hardwork for me. Its to easy. I left fawkes back at megaton, so i can get more experience points (LVL 20 now). With my plasma rifle from whatshisname from rivercity, the A231 or something like it, i can take out everyone. If they come to close, my trusted shotgun to the face tactic wil do the rest. I love painting the walls with brains. Reavers are a bit of a pain though. But dogmeat just will not die. I dont know if its a bug, but he can take out all enemies while i scrounge for ammo and stimpaks.

Yep, you guessed it; there's a bug. With Broken Steel installed, all the non-humanoid companions (Fawkes, RL-3, Dogmeat) become demi-gods. Seriously, they end up with something ridiculous like 300,000 HP by the time you're level 30.

In order for this demi-goodness (see what I did there ^_^ ) should I recruit the followers before I begin Broken Steel or does the time I recruit them not matter?

It doesn't really matter. Even at level 2, the non-humanoid companions are insanly powerful if you have Broken Steel. Just they become invincible by level 30.

Even if you obtain the followers before installing Broken Steel, they still end up with the ridiculous health. The only way to stop it is to never download BS, I'm afraid.

I'm just thankful the glitch doesn't affect human companions -- that'd ruin the game for me. And to be fair, I never even use Fawkes or RL-3 anyway. I take Dogmeat, but not because of his effectiveness in combat, but because it's cool for the squad to have a pet. :P

aha. that would explain dogmeat taking out reavers before breakfast. Hmm. I like fawkes for carying my stuff. Maybe i should ditch them both and get that slaver woman again, from my first time i played. Shes nice with the pink dress and cool remarks and all. But i wanna keep my pet. This sux. Prolly no chance a patch coming out anytime soon :)

Anything that takes more than a clip to kill.

This^. Main gun A3-A1's plasma rifle and the chinese assault rifle. So basicly, behemoth, deathclaw (you get a sh!t load once your about level 15 and at level 20...their common) and I can't really think of anything else. Masters usually take a CAR's clip but A3-A1 kills most of those except for the behemoth in one clip.

I don't get people ticked about bloat flies. They're so darn easy to kill. I hate things like the Sentry Bots and Enclave hellfire dudes because they won't die. I also don't like the hillbillies in Point lookout. I have the ghoul mask so no reaver problems for me. I feel bad for you svckers lol jk

A lot of gamers do not use VATS when they play FO3. They are very small and hard to hit outside VATS. People hate to waste their bullets on them.
