Gaenor because he pretty much does not stop with asking for money.

I didn't play Morrowind, or any of the games which preceded Oblivion, but, from my time spent in Oblivion, it has to be between Glarthir and the Adoring Fan.

I didn't mind Fargoth, I just found him to be a sad little man. And I find Glarthir and the Adoring Fan quite amusing....So I guess none?

Anyone who hasn't voted Gaenor hasn't faced him. I don't know why everyone says Fargoth, he really isn't that bad. AF isn't that bad either because you can shrug him off and never see him again. But Gaenor...he's a Bosmer from the depths of hell.

I'm just glad they didn't make him automatically talk to you.

Other: Maglir. Whiny, ungrateful son of a grummite. On the TES3 end, Gaenor. As was mentioned before, we'd get like.. a hit ratio of one out every fifty stabs, and he'd block half of those. Filthy s'wit.

As for Fargoth, I liked him. A little creepy, but he gave me a discount on stuff just for giving him an all but useless ring. Nice kid.

The Adoring Fan, for pretty much starting the absurd stereotyping of annoying Bosmer. There was nothing particularly wrong with Fargoth, and Gaenor was just hilarious. To me, at least.

A tie between Fargoth and Maglir for me. They both annoyed me right from the start, with Fargoth's annoyingly cheerful "Grettings and salutations friend!" or whatever he says, and with Maglir's complaining about everything as soon as you meet him. Come to think of it pretty much the whole male bosmer population gets on my nerves, just something about them.

I was heading straight for Fargoth before you all reminded me of who Gaenor was. :swear:

edit: Also I loved Tahriel! The little dude who messed up on his scrolls, that ended up propelling him up into the sky (then down again) in Morrowind? He was awesome! Stupid... but... damn it, I always loved starting off with that magical sword.

In Morrowind, Gaenor definitely takes the cake. How ungrateful can you get?
And in Oblivion, I have to give it to Maglir. The first time I met him, I had to do his contract for him because he was a wuss. The second time, he was so non-wuss that he decided the best course of action was to put himself between the enemy and my already-swinging blade. Then he jumped ship and started working with a bunch of thugs on PCP. Getting to kill him was a pretty big joy though. And unlike Gaenor, I hit him so hard he bounced off the ceiling.

I never understood the Fargoth hate. He's just this slightly whiny weakling that needs help and when you give him the ring he gets you real good prices at the local shop. All in all I'd say he's more nice than annoying.

The Adoring Fan hate is unjustified as well. He has an annoying attitude, but all you need to do in order to get rid of him is talk to him and tell him to wait right there.

I see no reason why Tarhiel should be annoying. He just drops out of the sky and dies and you get some nifty beginner loot form his corpse. If anything he should be one of the more popular Bosmer around.

Gaenor is hellish. You can avoid him of course, but that's only after you know about him. When you come across him for the first time though he looks completly harmless and the unsuspecting player is lured to initate conversation. During the first phase he acts like a gold drain, then in the next phase he comes back as death incarnate.

So Gaenor gets my vote, hands down.

Gaenor gets my vote. Seriously, I was bloody high leveled, when I approached Gaenor. I did not know what he was about, until he started asking for money. First, I felt sorry for the guy but when he was asking for 100 gold, I said no. Then, of course, he got mad, said he will have his revenge. I immediaetly sensed something wrong, so I got out of the place, only to re-enter again to see if he is waiting to kill me. He was not, not even after numerous enters and re-enters, so I figured it was all empty threats. Then one day, when I was leaving the temple he was there. I did not get freaked out by the ebony stuff he had, I thought, he can't be that tough, I bet this will be over in 2 hits or so, like the rest of the "I am so tough" type NPCs. When I couldn't even do proper damage to him, I started thinking "Is my character inadequate, or is he freakishly tough?", but anyways I ran away and figured "exploit time!". So I hired that Imperial mercanery, gave him some semi-good stuff, and after an unbelievably long session of "entering, doing some damage, leaving to heal, re-entering" he finally got killed. I gave the mercanery the Ebony stuff. I remember he kicked some major ass, from that point on.

Brit'sa. She was literally everywhere

Haha, this. Although she was not everywhere. I've only seen her in Jewelry shops.

What would Gaenor do exactly? I never remember encountering him.

EDIT: I just read about him, he sounds like a real [censored].

He would beg for money in increasing increments. If at any time you refused to give him some, or if you gave him enough for him to request 1,000,000 gold, he would get angry and storm off.

A few days later he would return...
In full Ebony armor (which was super rare in MW) and with painfully high stats. You literally could not land a hit on him because his stats were so high. And he had 100% magic reflection so you couldn't cast anything on him. An epic battle would ensue.

On Topic: I vote for Maglir. Killing him was pure pleasure.

Just hit me.... what would happen if someone with 100% magic reflection fought against someone with 100% magic reflection? Would spells just negligible?

No, spells are only reflected once.
I am kind of sad that I can't use the old FF exploit where you can cast spells on yourself which reflect onto the enemy...

For some reason I don't find any of the Bosmers even slightly annoying. Glarthir and the Adoring Fan are actually quite amusing rather than exasperating.

Glarthir from the Paranoia quest in Oblivion.

I concur. He specifically I think was the only real Bosmer I've ever really tried to avoid, aside from Gaenor, but even more so...

Just to clarify, he was the Bosmer in the Tribunal expansion pack who kept demanding money from you right?

I'd pretty much finished all of bloodmoon, tribunal and the main storyline before i ended up returning to mournhold temple, so gaenor in ebony armour trying to kill me was just a cool little twist to me... Maglir was probably the only bosmer i ever disliked; I think most of them are classic, especially those in bliss and crucible for those who've played shivering isles. Fimmion, bolwing and goolrolros to name a few. "Wanna buy a stick? I got a fresh one right here" - Haha good times had in shivering isles DLC.

But yea I hated Maglir soo much... A few shots to the sack with my glass bow sorted him out quite nicely, however. ^_^

The adoring fan -> Lay down and rot... would you kindly?

or I could just tell him to stop following me around.

Gaenor never pissed me off, at least he posed a challenge, even though he was no match for my fightning skills.
Fargoth. I'm not annoyed by him, he traded discount prices for a 2 gp ring. Nice trade.

I'd also have to say Glarthir. I dread going to Skingrad on a new character because I know he'll approach me. The last few times, I just console killed him immediately to save myself the hassle of his quest, which I'll never bother with again, cluttering up my journal.

But if I have to pick from that list, then Gaenor. Though he dropped some pretty nice loot when I finally got him to die.

Fargoth, cuz his ass (and his ring) is IN THE WAY when I get released from the Census. Go. Home.

At least TAF worships you, and Gaenor offers a good fight.
