Most annoying hostile creature?

Mine is the ice wraith. I play as an archer, so its super tough for me to hit them, cause they move all the time. Plus, theyre barely visible.

Wolves, at low life they start running away then coming back IF they did not get stuck on something. Just the part of running behind you is quite annoying.

I feel like Sabrecats have the 15x sneak modifier on my cloth mage. I swear one time I just saw the death cutscene without warning.

edit: probably dragons though

for me it's the fireball machinegun spellcasters...2-3 of em pop up and it's just a never ending barrage of fiery exploding death on full auto.

Bears for me, because of their stupid amounts of HP and high damage they do.

Dragons. They're pretty boring and unavoidable if you do the MQ.

Wolves. They are definitely the cliff racers of Skyrim, although without the knockdown effect.

Varies, depending on character type. But I'd have to agree with everyone hating bears, spriggans and ice wraiths. Can't say I have a lot of love for chaurus, either.

I actually like fighting Ice Wraiths, especially on my archer.

Wisps.

Small hit box and extremely agile, high resistance to magic and physical attacks. That or they have high HP. Think of them as elite versions of ice wraiths. I wish I had my infinite magicka gear when I faced them so I can spam fireballs without worrying about accuracy.

The awesome news is like hagravens they are rare spawns. I've only seen them during the Mages Guild quest.

If you lure them into shallow waters, you can. Still, they're a pain.
Most annoying for me would have to be ice wraiths. They always leave me blundering about and swinging my sword like a drunken fool.

Slaughterfish were way more annoying in Morrowind. But you never really think about them, because in Morrowind, [annoying + critter = cliff racer]

As a side note, I was dead scared of Trolls in Oblivion. They were SO DAMN FAST. They're not as scary anymore, though.

Slaughterfish are only a problem if you don't have a cloak or Ebony Mail.

After I get Ebony Mail, I just hang out in the river, let them come up to me and very shorty thereafter, they float to the surface, dead, because of my damage cloak :D

The truly annoying mobs are ICE WRAITHS. Their hitbox is even smaller than INSECTS! I swear to Talos, I can nail a butterfly flitting about randomly from 100 yards away with a firebolt no problem, but that crap never seems to hit an Ice Wraith even at point blank range. ><
