Most Anticipated PC Game of 2011 - Vote for skyrim!

Post » Sun Apr 18, 2010 2:06 am

i'm actually more excited for a single screenshot of STALKER 2 than i am for the release of Skyrim.

also why is Battlefield 3 not on that list. i anticipate that just slightly more than Skyrim.

also i don't get the point of this thread, are you trying to make it WIN THE POLL or something?

I don't play anything else (on that list), so the choice was simple. I don't remember the last game I got the year of its release. Actually, I think it was Wind Waker.

I know it was Wind Waker.

get out of here you traitors
i hope next week you will feel bad for voting for another game then skyrim!

Lol, I didn't vote for Skyrim. There are other games I'm looking forward to more at the moment. Like Batman Arkham City, Dragon Age 2, Grand Theft Auto V (never even knew there was to be another one 'til I saw this poll) and Driver: San Francisco.

i voted for guild wars 2..
maby if skyrim had a teaser trailer, or if the staff of BSG even commented on the fourms at all.

Sorry to say there are more than a few games I'm anticipating more than Skyrim. There are a lot of exciting games coming out in 2011. Morrowind is one of my favorite games of all time and I've been a TES fan since Arena came out in '94, but Oblivion was a huge disappointment to me. I couldn't bring myself to keep playing after 25 hours or so until some of the overhaul mods started coming out. I'm not going to set myself up for another let-down. If Skyrim turns out to be amazing then I'll be pleasantly surprised. Until then I'll have to remain skeptical. :)

Batman: Arkham City :spotted owl:

I voted Skyrim, but if I could've chosen two more I would've picked Arkham City and The Old Republic.

Or hell, GTA V. But since GTA V hasn't even been announced, that option is pretty stupid. :)

EDIT: I forgot Mass Effect 3. I'm ashamed.

If The Witcher 2, Red Orchestra 2, Diablo 3 and Portal 2 weren't on the list, sure I would've voted for it. But that wasn't the case.

Can't wait until info for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 starts coming out, definitley my most anticipated game of 2012.

Needless to say though Skyrim is my 2011 game

I... can't pick a game. I simply can't.

Guild Wars 2? Diablo 3? Mass Effect 3? Torchlight 2? TES5? SWTOR? Batman? GTA V? DC Universe? Two Worlds II? Stronghold 3?

I simply... just... I don't even....

I've played all exp packs of Guild Wars one, all things from Blizzard, both Mass Effect (1 and 2) and all their DLC/add-ons. I've played Torchlight. Obviously TES, lol. Really excited for SWTOR. I played both KOTOR and love both immensely, despite bad reviews of the second. I hate batman, okay? I didnt want to play Arkham at first. Till I watched someone playing it infront of me. Then I started to like it and gave it a try. It was really fun! I still do not like Batman, but the game was fun!!!! Not a huge GTA fan. In fact, I am not a fan at all. But I did play the latest GTA and got into it. Was really fun to kill people as Nico, lol. DC Universe... A better version of CoH/CoV IMO. But that's based on beta footage from TotalBiscuit (Aka TotalHalibut on youtube). I H A T E D the first Two Worlds. It was a pretty good game with a lot of flaws IMO. It was enjoyable. Still hated it, though, lol. Looking forward to the sequel, though! And finally... I've played all Stronghold. 2 wasn't that good to me, and I kinda regret buying it. But I love Stronghold that much to want to at least try Stronghold 3.

I want all these games, none more than the other, and all greatly.

You are all heretics.
The god-TES provided you with everything you ever wanted and yet you spit in his face.
The TES emperor's Angels of Death will come down upon you, just wait...

I voted Skyrim because I love all the TES games and they`ve kept me playing them for years. Currently playing through Oblivion again and still having fun :)

No way was I voting for Two Worlds 2, got it on release day and played for a couple of weeks and found it boooooriiiiiing.

I think The Elder Scrolls series is pretty damn popular with the gamers if this poll is to be relevant, I mean look at the titles below, there are heavy titles from legendary series that only scored 10% of what Skyrim did.

Voted Skyrim, mainly because while the other games' fun span can be measured in hours, in all TES games it can be measured in years.

Mods be blessed :D

MORROWIND IS NOT THE FIRST ONE! :obliviongate:

Lol no it is definately not, Arena and Daggerfall came before and Oblivion after, I played all on release, hence Skyrim is TES 5 !

For me Skyrim is first, I always look forward to the next TES installment :) Honorable mention to Mass Effect 3, for me ME2 is one of the greatest games to be brought out in living memory, however comparing a title like Skyrim to Mass Effect is pretty difficult!

I'm really interested in Skyrim, probably more than any other game but it's less from the "i definitely want to play it naow" perspective than the "can they make it good" one. The brilliance of New Vegas has reawakened that feeling that Morrowind and Gothic gave me all these years ago of just how brilliant an open world RPG can be but i'm not convinced Beth are the ones to make the game i want.

I'm almost sure of how awesome the Witcher 2 will be and the same with Guild Wars 2 and Red Orchestra 2. Deus Ex may go either way but is still promising. dragon Age 2 well i've pretty much given up on already. Yet it's the games i'm most unsure of whose last iterations were rather poor (Skyrim and ShogunTW) that i find myself anticipating the most. Probably because done right these are the games i'd most want to play.

Also, it was a pretty decent game, with way better story than the one in Oblivion too. :)

The greatest story ever told could not negate for me the spam fest controls of that game. Timed point and click? Really? I've seen maybe a dozen people in the last three years speak highly of that game so I know I'm not alone in my assessment.

I voted for Skyrim. Second one would've been Mass Effect 3, they're both gonna be epic games.
