Most anticipated game

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 1:00 am

I remember back in 2006 when I got my Xbox 360, the first game I got with it was TES Oblivion. I was shocked by the graphics, but even more so by the gameplay experience. Since then I've been hooked on the series, and have immersed myself in some of the previous games in the series.

I remember reading up on a lot of speculation as to when the next Elder Scrolls title would be released, and saw somewhere that it could be out by the end of 2010.

That obviously didn't happen, but what we did get was the announcement and release date of Skyrim.

And now, after reading the Game Informer article, I can't say I've ever anticipated any game more than I am anticipating Skyrim (Especially since it'll have been 5 years in the making by the time it's released.)

So how about you? What was/is your most anticipated game?

You′re asking on the Skyrim forums ? What answer do you expect :P I don′t believe I need to tell you what game I anticipate the most.

Right now, of course, it's Skyrim.

My most anticipated game of all time was Morrowind. I pre-ordered Morrowind in 2001 (back when it was supposed to be released in 2001) and it was a long, long, impatient wait until Morrowind was finally released in 2002. It felt like it took forever to release that game.

I have more hype for this game, just with the scraps of info we've been fed, than any other game.

And there is still 10 months to go... :)

Diablo III is higher on my list than Skyrim at this very moment but trust me, that says a lot.

The next Half-Life and Mass Effect 3 are also somewhere up there.

The Witcher 2
Batman: Arkham City
Bioshock Infinite
Rage
Dragon Age 2
Crysis 2
Portal 2
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

There's some mad gaming ahead of us, that's for sure.

Skyrim, then Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2, and Portal 2. Maybe Red Dead Redemption, too.

Skyrim.
Really couldn't care less about any of the other games that are coming.
I'll probably play Mass Effect 3, but meh.

Right now, Skyrim, of course, but all time either Halo 2 or 3. They were both huge for me.

Dragon Age 2... just kidding... Well I don't think I even need to write it, but here is a hint: The game is number 5 in its series. There, take a guess if you like :D

It was Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 before, but I don't know...Skyrim is just all that I'm thinking about in terms of RPG gaming. I'm totally anticipating it.

...however, I'm also excited for: Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed 3, and Batman Arkham City.

I think Skyrim will blast Bethesda up to the level of CoD Black Ops or another of the really big shooters - which would be Beyond incredible. The fellas at GameStop were telling me that massive 200+ crowds on release night are not un-common for the big FPS games, much moreso than the typical hype for an RPG.

I definitely think Skyrim will change that, and plan on being there release-night to see for myself!

Skyrim. When a Tes game is approaching the runway, I can't focus on other games, it completely dwarves them.

I am 27 and have been playing games since the NES days. I can honestly say I have never anticipated a game the way I am for Skyrim. God of War 3 was the closest thing for me, and even that game wasn't close to my excitement for Skyrim.

Apart from Skyrim, which I can honestly say is the most anticipated game of my life, The Witcher 2, Dragon Age 2, and Shogun 2: Total Warrior. Boycotting this years regurgitation of CoD 4. Maybe Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 depending on the reviews they get but I'm an RPG and RTS fan at heart. Oh yeah and Deus Ex looks quite good. I'm watching the game I Am Alive, but there's a high change it will be a total fail.

This pretty much. They are followed by Uncharted 3.
