Most anticipated games of 2015

Post » Fri Dec 12, 2014 5:08 pm

What are they?

I'm trying to keep my list to a minimum at the moment because I hope to get a PS4 some time next year and I know that there will be plenty of other games announced as well.

Definite:
Just Cause 3
Batman Arkham Knight
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
Kingdom Hearts 3
(Just realised they're all the 3rd instalment...)

If good:
Star Wars Battlefront
Evolve

Pillars of Eternity, more specifically, the moment they decide to release it on hard copy. It's initially going to strictly be a steam release game, but considering that some of the backers(those who donated $90 or more iirc) will be getting a hard-copy, I'm confident they will eventually release it in hard-copy as well. I'm so freaking stoked for this game, and if I had had the money at the time, I'd have happily donated to the kickstarter.

Fetch, I don't know.

Definately Half-Life 3 I know nothing.

Probably:

- Battlefront

- Warhammer 40000: Eternal Crusade

Other good options.

- Arkham Knight, though I want to try the other Arkham games first, just waiting for the right time to buy them aka a neat steam sale.

- Just Cause 3, kinda the same premise though, I haven't tried the others but I've seen others play and it looks pretty neat.

I haven't really looked too much into the gaming news so I'm pretty uninformed about what games are coming out next year, so... yeah, my list isn't very long.

For me it's Galactic Civilizations 3 and Pillars of Eternity. I'm interested in Torment: Tides of Numenera as well, but inXile has given no indication that it will even be released next year.

No, it's also going to be available through GOG as well. They're taking pre-orders for it now.

Oh, I forgot this little gem, you can also buy it on GoG.com which is DRM free, unless it's just the fact that it's a hard copy that is the important part to you of course.

I completely forgot about Torment: Tides of Numinera, I'm very interested in that game as well, though it's likely just a digital release initially as well, right?

Nah, still doesn't matter due to my 5gb Data cap. If my best friend hadn't moved about an hour away I'd be happy to hear that it was being released on GoG as well, I'd have just taken my computer over there and d/led it, but lugging my comp that far just for a game isn't exactly worth it, considering the gas cost for round trip would likely cost more then the game itself.

Here's my list in no particular order:

- Batman: Arkham Knight

- Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain (It's awesome that we'll be getting PC version, although, I would also like to see MGS collection for those who did't play previous games to catch up on the story)

- Grand Theft Auto V PC release (about damn time)

- Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

- Xenoblade Chronicles X

- Final Fantasy XV (not confirmed though, and hoping for PC version)

- Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse

- Mortal Kombat X

- The Legend of Zelda

- No Man's Sky

- Star Wars: Battlefront (not sure about that one, but I'm excited nonetheless)

  • http://www.yakuza.sega.com/ (by far the game I look forward to play the most)
  • Various other games I backed on Kickstarter
Oh, and the PS1-games Suikoden 1 and 2 that are finally released on the European Playstation Store in January

I look forward to that game too, and while the japanese release is next year, I doubt we will see any western release. It took 2 years for the first Xenoblade Chronicles to be translated and released outside of Japan.

I totally forgot about Yakuza 5 being finally released overseas, I also really look forward to it. And I wasn't sure about Xenoblade Chronicles X, so I checked Wikipedia and it said that they aim for oversea release in second half of 2015, unless they were saying the same thing about Xenoblade Chronicles haha.

Yakuza 5's English version(freakin' finally!)

Witcher 3

Persona 5

Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain

Not much else for now since I am still working on beating many games. Need to get through the Yakuza games and track down Yakuza 3, too. Somehow don't have that one in my collection. I have every game that has been translated in the series except for the third one. My list of anticipated games is so cookie cutter. Oh well.

Halo 5 and Arkham Knight. Star Wars Battlefront if the information that is slowly released is good, but I really enjoy Battlefield games so I expect to enjoy this too.

Obligatory Fallout 4

http://wastelands-interactive.com/index.php/games/worlds-of-magic will hopefully be finished by 2015. They have their beta out for backers so it looks good. It is one of my 2 Kickstarter games I backed and is a 4X game in the vein of Master of Magic, a "Spiritual Successor."

Nothing much other than that one :)

Rebel Galaxy from Double Damage Games http://rebel-galaxy.com/

Maybe Fallout 4 or TES: VI or whatever Bethesda is working on and if it is released for 2015 but it might be more for 2016.
