Most beneficial guild

I know that it all depends on how you like to play the game but lets face it some of the guilds offer better percs than others so which guild do you all think offers you the best percs and what are your favorite percs?

The best perks? Well some of the spells you can buy and the ability to use the altar things in the mages guild to create spells and enchant items are neat-o.

But than again, the thieves guild is really useful for selling stolen things....

I'll go with the thieves guild.

I'm torn between the Mage's Guild and the Thieves guild myself.

This is about gameplay, not lore, so we'll try it in TES General instead.

In both Morrowind and Oblivion, I like the Thieves Guild for the doyens' ability to make it all good with the law after you've been doing something you shouldn't (that is, getting caught). In Oblivion, Mages Guild membership is maybe more advantageous, for access to the Arcane University.

(From a lore perspective, the Mages Guild was a huge advance in making magic available to the public. The Thieves Guild, is, well, good at redistributing wealth.)

Ya, it was the only guild that I liked a lot (the fighter's guild is just barbarically running around killing whatever you are told too and the mages' guild it was college all over again lol).

They needed to make the quest line longer, or have a few sanctuaries spread though out the province (like the fighter's or mages' guilds)

I agree with the sanctuaries.

I thought all guilds were awesome though.

Fighters guild was the least awesome though, could get quite boring.

I'd have to disagree with the Dark Brotherhood being the best. Even though it does infact have the best questline it involves you getting rid of people that have sidequests attached to them which are unrecoverable.

No, some of the people you have to kill have side-quests :( Kindof puts me off from doing the quests again on new characters until I've finished working with them.

Name them.

UESP also says nothing about this.

I stand corrected. I must have gotten mixed up with activating quest lines from rumors or something. Good to know anyways so I can finally get around them now :)

Thanks.

But anyways on he subject here, I'd have to say apart from the Dark Brotherhood the Thieves Guild has the second best questline in the game.

In Oblivion that is Harkon, in Morrowind, I'd say the Tribunal or Telvanni does.

Morrowind Mages Guild offered transport, special merchants, and free (useful) equipment.
Oblivion Mages Guild offered spell making and enchanting.

Looks like the mages guild will be my final answer. :)
