so, another thread made me think about starting this:


what City in Skyrim do you think would be the most dangerous?


I got to go with Markarth, not only are they at the same risk as the other cities (the ongoing civil war and Dragon Attacks), they got the Forsworn infiltrating the city, Cannibals, strong Daedric presence, and a ruin full of Falmer just a few feet under their palace



so, what do you think is the most dangerous city in Skyrim?

I'd have to go with Markarth, for many of the reasons you offered. I will say, as the city is made entirely of stone and has significant sections that are well sheltered underground, dragon attacks are less of a concern than more exposed locations with wooden structures. However, there's really no place on the map, except perhaps Solstheim, with as many threats as the Reach.

EDIT: It wouldn't be fair to ignore the immense threat of political corruption in the city as well. Really, only Riften is comparable in that regard, and as far as I'm concerned, it really doesn't come close to Markarth.

Markarth because of the brutes known as the silver-bloods and the forsworn who are fighting against Nord oppression.
