TL;DR
Co-founder of Free Radical (Now known as Crytek UK, the developer of the multiplayer part of Crysis 2), said that developing FPS games is just like saying "I want to lose money" and burning your money, because people buy games only, if they have Call of Duty in their name. Publishers are too unsure about very unique FPS-games. The same co-founder left Crytek UK and created mobile game studio.
Do you agree about what he said? Do you think that, if Call of Duty and Battlefield franchises would fall, people would buy a lot more unique games more?
