I would have to vote Azura:

  • She's lures in innocent people
  • She mascarades as a "good guy"
  • She dooms an entire race because a few people disobey her
  • She's an overdramatic, self loving...
  • I get a cookie.

And he smells like crap.

Molag Bal

Bothiath is my close second...

You know, when you think about it all of the Daedra are selfish and manipulative.

You can't blame her for being a woman.

That's why I picked Molag Bal.

I wanted to vote Azura because of how deceitful she is, but Molag Bal is just too sick so I voted him.

I actually voted Molag Bal because he has the coolest plane in Oblivion, and I'm jealous.

While the thought of seeing the imperial city covered in dung is amusing, pretty much all the aspects of Bal aren't as appealing.

I actually don't really despise any of them, but I do feel a speck of hatred for good ol' Mehrunes Dagon. He is a [censored] cliché enemy and has high elven pussies as servants. He had them open up Oblivion gates, as well, that's another strong point against him.

I'd say Mehrunes Dagon, out of a pile of cliche Daedra Lords he's the most cliche. The only reason he seems to exist is as a plot excuse (Why is [censored] blowing up requiring you to go into these big fiery gates? Uh... Dagon did it? Yeah, that's it!) and to have a clearcut "evil" Daedra Lord as equivalent of every dull depiction of the devil ever. Because what game is complete without a big, red, cliche that lives in an equally cliche world of fire and blood with torture devices everywhere to be a villain?

You get a COOOOOOO-K-IIIIIIII!
And you are so damn true with that list!

Buuu! Ol′Mally is pretty cool! He got his own race dammit! Hey! We should make Martin a Daedric Prince! Something like... Tinmar the Daedric Prince of Imperials! Awesome!

Molag Bal. For what he wants to do to that poor guy mourning his wife in TES IV: Oblivion.

Yeah... He is pretty sick. But Azura just makes me so annoyed! Atleast Bal hasnt made anything in a bigger scale... Like doing that Oblivion quest in an Imperial City scale...

Daedric Princes got no gender... [/mr.Nitpicky]

...but you: you I curse right here and right now! I take away your ability to jump and jump and jump and doom you to [the void] where you will not be able to leave except for auspicious days long between one and another and even so only through hard, hard work. And it will be this way, my little corner cutter, until you have destroyed all that in the world which you have stolen from earlier kalpas, which is to say probably never at all!"

Dagon (no longer a Leaper Demon King) screamed, "Please no! We have stolen from you so much and crammed it all back on in the craziest of places that it will take forever for me to regain my jumping kind of happiness! Especially if I can only come back to this world through auspicious days long between one and another that also require rituals! I beg you not to do this, O Aka! I beg you one hundred thousand and eight times!"

Dagon did as he said, begging Alduin Time-Eater to reverse his decision one hundred thousand and eight times, and halfway through this number Dagon shut his eyes tight to really mean it and then three-quarters through this number he began to shout his beggings to really, really, really mean it, but when he was done begging Alduin was not near the mountaintop he stood on.

In fact, after many looks east, west, south, and north, and seeing only the churning dragon stop around him, Dagon realied that at some point when he was begging with his eyes closed that Alduin had eaten him, mountaintop and all, and he had not heard the big chomp because he had been begging too loud. And he knew that the last world had been eaten entirely, except for its stolen portions, and that when the new kalpa began to form The Greedy Man (who never stayed trapped for long) would begin sticking these stolen portions back on in the craziest of places, and that he himself could never jump again until all was put back right.

He also knew that the name of "Dagon" would no longer be that of a kindly leaper demon but one who would destroy and destroy and destroy whenever he could find some small escape [from his home in the oblivion]....

While interesting isn't that from one of Michael Kirkbride's posts after he left Bethesda? Those aren't necessarily canon considering that he isn't an employee anymore, right? I would venture to say more relevant to the series than fanfics since Bethesda allowed The Infernal City to reference the Loveletter, but it still doesn't affect Dagon's depiction in the games as being the stereotypical "devil" bad guy.

If that were actually referenced in the games, my dislike for Dagon would be a different story. But the way I see it there are two ES canons, the general one where stuff like this is part of the lore (in which I have no issue with Dagon) and the game canon where most of this obscure stuff never enters the picture (the canon in which Dagon is nothing more than a massive cliche).
