Most important game feature?

Post » Thu Dec 03, 2015 8:21 am

With only a day left (June feels like yesterday...), what is your most wanted feature in the game? Is there something that's crucial to you? What's the most important thing to you that you want out of the game?

Personally, a big and beautiful landscape is the most important thing. Obviously, all other features are important, but the most important thing about every Bethesda game for me is having a huge, immersive landscape to explore. I invest the most time in just exploring and can spend evenings at home just marvelling at the world in the game. If it feels bigger and less restricted in space than Skyrim, I'll feel immersed and will enjoy the game, even if a lot of it does somehow turn out to be disappointing :D

Bottled water. It's water, but in a bottle.

Settlement and house building I suppose. This is something new in this type of games and something I think should have appeared earlier (though I would have expected it in the isometric era and it looked more intuitive). Not only will it be nice not to depend on houses developed by developers and modders, but settlement feature might be fun and refreshing.

Of course, I want a good story, pretty world and fun action, but right now this is the most unique feature of FO4 and if done well, might bring new stuff to genre.

Places to explore and places to build things. That's all I ask from Beth. I know they won't let me down.

A world that feels interesting, and weapons that feels good. Best example of the top of my head would be metro last light, the guns there felt really solid and dangerous.

My most wanted feature in FO4 and most games is customization. I like to make things my own, whether it be creating your own character or weapons and armor. doing so really makes yours, and kind of puts you more in the game world, ya know?

Details that make the environment come to life - computer logs, the story told by the arrangement of dead bodies, and even the arrangement of random garbage all contribute to my favorite setting in video games.

Improved gun crafting, and settlements. I always loved smithing my own stuff in skyrim, and rarely used the so called unique weapons. As for settlements, just building my own house is enought for me, but adding a whole town on top of that, you just lost me for several hours before i even touch MQ.

It interests me greatly as long as it isn't as tedious as Hearthfire. Whenever I think of that DLC now I just imagine hours of groaning and boredom. If it feels fun and interesting to build, I'm all for it. If it's like Hearthfire I'll probably have a half built settlement in my wasteland :P

More fun if you start a new game and build a house over time. Don't do it all at once.

Even then, it's still an hour of hitting a stone to get a quarry stone and having to go back and forth for logs. Finding animal hides can be done over time, but I don't have the time for tedious tasks in games. I imagine Fallout 4 will have improved on that, though :)

Layered armor.. That is seriously really cool that it's back. I can't wait to get into the armor system. Obviously will have to hold off a bit on picking up those crafting perks to pick up some perks that I will feel are more vital to my initial survival.. That will be difficult.
