So it's around Christmas time again, and it's that time where couples get in the argument with their significant other about whether or not Die Hard is considered a Christmas movie.
So anyway, this year I'm in an argument with my girlfriend who wants to watch a Christmas movie (and she loves all those cheesy Christmas movies out there) and I'm trying to tell her that Die Hard is a modern retelling of The Grinch and that John McClane is actually the Cindy Lou-Who of Die hard, while his wife is the Grinch who's heart grows two sizes bigger at the end of the movie due to Cindy Lou-Who showing the Grinch what the real meaning of Christmas is as - shown metaphorically by John McClane wasting terrorists and showing his wife how badass and awesome he is.
She says that's ridiculous of course and that Die Hard isn't even about Christmas at all.
So I decided to ask the community here whether they too thought if Die Hard was or wasn't considered a Christmas movie. Why would you consider it a christmas movie, or why is it not?
Also while we're at it you can all post what your favourite Christmas movies are if you wanted (I didn't make that a poll because there are way too many choices out there).
