I haven't played Daggerfall either, but considering the geography of High Rock was randomly generated, rather than hand crafted, I don't consider it to be a "proper representation."

I'm fond of Bretons. They are small, cute (at least the females), and that magic resistance is nice.

Out of my six human characters, one has been Nord, one has been Redguard, two have been Bretons (though they're really two versions of the same character), and - for some reason, since they really don't interest me as a race - two have been Imperial.

Upcoming character will most likely be a Breton as well, so I guess that would be my most played race.

Ha, sure let's go with that. I do like that Bretons haven't completey thrown out magic like other human races.

Seen as though i love roman history i would say imperial's as they are loosely based of of them.

I like the Imperials the most, but funnily enough the only human race I've ever played were the Redguards. They're cool too.
