Most memorable hike in MW ?

In traveling MW what was your most memorable hike? Mine was the trek up Red Mountain with the wind and sand blowing and the build up to reaching Dagoth Ur.

Walking along the rocky landscape north of Gnisis. It's still my favorite place to wander :)

Not really a hike so much as a swim, but I remember finding that little island (no distant land) north-west of Khuul with the camp and waterfall, and being fascinated.

You know when you go from Seyda Neen to Balmora by way of Pelagiad? And you briefly pass through a foyada? Well, the first time I walked through that part I thought "I wouldn't want to walk here at night." The second time I walked there it was night, there was a storm, and I took a wrong turn so i ended up walking towards Ghostgate rather than Balmora. During that hike I also encountered my first Kagouti and my first Alit.

I hated Ghostgate, first time i saw it. I don't know, it had that "Walk in here, but what happens on the other side... Hehehe!!!" kind of feeling...

doing the temples quest where you had to go to the north side of the island and you're not allowed to talk to anybody.

The first time i did that quest i never used a mark/recall/almsivi/divine spell/scroll (didn''t know about them), so i walked all the way. Felt like a big achievement when i reached the altar

The first planned long trip that I can recall taking was from Khuul to the Urshliaku Camp as part of the MQ. I went around the mountains to the north, explored as shipwreck, a daedric ruin, a dwemer ruin and oh yeah, Ibar-Dad. I was half dead and nearly overencumbered with loot when i finally got to the Camp. Quite fun though.

I will never forget that trip and how tired I felt and lost at times......... and all I did was just sit there with a controller in my hand!

Travelling through the Ashlands (I think it's officially part of the Molag Amur region, but still) from Balmora, across the bridge that passes next to Arkngthand (yes, I had to look that up) and then onward along the path across the mountains from the northern shore of Lake Amaya. It was my first real venture outside of what could be considered "civilised" lands, and it really gave the sense of there being a wilderness far from other people, even in a game with a compressed map size. Quite fun. :)

Other interesting walks included: A stroll along said northern shore of Lake Amaya (just for fun), the aforementioned Pilgrim's Path and Sanctus Shrine quests, and the walk from the Urshilaiku Camp to the Valley of the Wind for the one part of the main quest.

Walking around Balmora for the first time trying to find Caius - i had no idea where Labor town was - it must have taken me an hour before i found him.

I can clearly recall many times of walking between Balmora and Caldera staring at the stars thinking how beautiful they were and then being attacked by a Nix Hound - it still makes me jump when that happens.
